Curious, is a Hanafin for Nylander trade make sense from both sides? I can see Nylander slotting in with Huberdeau & Lindholm or even with Backlund & Coleman if Mangi fits that top line. Either way, a top 6 forward for a 2-3 Dman both have 2 years left & Leafs save 2.0 mill in cap? Seems like a hockey trade to me.

On paper I think it looks okay but I think Dubas and Co are happy with Reilly, Brodie, Muzzin, Gio, Liljegren and maybe Holl.

Nylander can play center or right wing, born in Calgary. Canadian players are going to have to learn Swedish.

Maybe but don't think the RW is deep enough to play top 6 minutes right away. I don't think Dubas plans to move any of the top 4.

We need a top 6 forward. Pageau is less than a .5PPG player. We can do way better with Hanafin, way better.

I’d like to see the Flames move a D for a younger forward that can become part of the core going forward.

Hanifin to Boston for Fabian Lysell and a 2nd. Bruins signing Bergeron and Kreciei signals they’re going for it and would look to be adding a Some more talent. Bruins get a stud left D from Boston. Flames get a RW that put up 22 goals and 40 assists in 53 games for the Giants last year. Bonus for being another Swede!
