what who, Elvis Stojko ?

Nah. Brind'amour.

Story goes that Lindros was banging Rod's wife and Brind'amour came into the locker room and hit him with a chair and gave him a concussion (some versions of the story say it was Recchi) and then went into Bobby Clarke's office and demanded that either he or Lindros be traded.

Brind'amour got dealt to Carolina shortly after, and Lindros would go on to suffer three more concussions that season.

this would've never happened had Lindros played for the Nordiques.

Normally I call bullpoop on these stories but this one was pretty prevalent and Rod DID get divorced not long after landing in Raleigh.

But apparantly Elvis kicked Lindros butt in a bar too ( perhaps at the Olympics)

Eric was talking poop, being the big mouth, looking for a fight and all, thing is...Elvis S. is a black belt

I don't think they will move Anderson. If they move him, they will have to find another through the draft.

Hughes said he was concerned because he thinks the team is a bit too small. Trading Anderson doesn't make sense in that regard.

- stinger67

I love Anderson. when on his game he can win it by himself. he did againts the Leafs in the playoffs. he's big, drives the net, he's fast... BUT
I love him now. what about 3 years from now? when it will really matter.
will injuries slow him down, with the style he plays? imo, if Hughes gets a good offer he's gone. like every other forwards on that team not named Suzuki or Caufield.

if he's trading Anderson it surely means he'd be acquiring a younger version of that kind of player somewhere else, unless the plan is to become physically weaker as a team...

the plan is to build for 2-3 years down the road. next season means absolutely nothing, except for developping the kids. he won't give Anderson away for nothing! but if the offer is good, either a high pick or a top prospect... you have to pull the trigger. just like he did with Lekhonen.

meh, personally I wouldn't want to send young prospects get pushed around every night because there's barely anyone on the team that can stand up for them. of course Hughes is planning for the future but the present also has to be taken seriously, it isn't just "oh whatever, who the (frank) cares what happens right now" lol.

It’s hard to find a younger version of Anderson those players don’t really come often. I am just hoping we don’t have another situation of Gomez, Cammalleri and Gionta where we build too much on speed but no size

I don’t know if he will stay hope he does but will see. Decision needs to be made on whether we keep him or Gallagher. Totally different players but need cap space
