There is no sweet gig at home for him, Arizona is a poopty hockey team in a poopty market, ownership sucks.

For you all that were/are 25 and single, would you give a poop about moving away from home to a better job/atmosphere for 8 months of the year? Hell no.

I am sure he loves leaving home for the winter with his hockey buddies and coming home to see his buddies there. The dude likely wants to live his life and he isnt throwing away all that to live near mom and dad at 25.

Botton line is money is a non issue. You never lose out paying guys like Mackinnon, Matthews, Mcdavid, ect.

If he leaves he wants to play in a certain city, at his young age it doesn't matter. Towards the end of his career maybe? Who cares right now though

Well I do believe there's a grain of salt because all players say that. However, again, would YOU want to be apart of the Arizona organization? MLSE does way more for their guys than just pay them.

Those organizations have money to spend on the fringe luxuries. I can at least respect that compared to Arizona.
