So Trotz turned down Winnipeg as well….not ready to coach at anywhere as of now.

I'd rather them not move JVR before the season starts because I have no doubt that whatever cap space they open up they will quickly fill it with another ridiculous over priced contract.
I don't have any faith in this team improving until CF and his took squad above him are gone.

Keep JVR
Fire CF at the ends of the year (of not sooner)
Save the cap space that JVR opens up next season and let the new eventual GM, who has a clue how to run this team, make those decisions

- Bob Habib

I have little faith in CF as of right now. But what choice do we have but to hope he can manoeuvre this team back to relevance? As far a JVR, I think they can better use the $ elsewhere but share your concerns about how it would be used.

Or he sees that neither the Jets or Flyers job is very appealing.

Probably wants a GM job. Isn’t Nashville for sale? New owners come in hire a former icon coach.

chuckles

giving away assets for cap space to make bad trades

5 coaches since 2018

Ryan Ellis trade

Ryan Ellis being listed day-to-day - then week-to-week --- to who knows if he will play again

Another aggressive re-tool after the last one failed

Just read Joel Farabee out 3-4 months? Cervical disc replacement? Will miss training camp? This ain’t the way for the aggressive retool proceed in the offseason.

Also, that interview with Torts, the Coach said something very interesting. If I heard correctly he said that he believes the locker room is fractured. Here’s the new guy in town and he hasn’t even stepped foot in the locker room yet. What in the world does that say about the ENTIRE management staff? If it’s so evident to the brand new coach, why in the world did this organization do absolutely nothing about it until the hiring of Torts?

Not surprised with the news on Trotz. It's funny that there was someone on here that is always ripping the Flyers and I mentioned that I had heard that it wasn't about the Flyers(it was more about the fact that he didn't want to coach again for at least awhile). Thanks!

To me that is more about the players in the locker room. These guys are supposed to be men and be able to sort these type of things out themselves. Makes me want to point the finger at team leadership once again. Hi captain and associates.

My guess is that it's been bothering him, they thought it would heal with time, and it didn't.
- Tomahawk
If that's the case it isn't a good look. I mean, there are things that they could have done to see if there was something more serious underlying causing the discomfort. Isn't this why these highly paid athletes are supposed to have the best doctors. Unless the player himself downplayed it and refused tests.

So a new coach comes in who hasn't spent a single second in that locker room says something so you want to point the finger at Giroux? Makes sense. There is a method and a pattern to what Tortorella does. Focus on that instead and maybe you'll be somewhat on the right track.

Funny just like you say Torts is "out of touch" before he even talking to players.

Just saw it too....
We can never have nice things!
Same procedure as Eichel.
I'm never a fan of anything spine back or neck.

2 success stories so far. Fingers crossed

I'll suspend ignoring your idiotic posts for this one time. You have a reading comprehension issue and you failed to follow the context of that conversation. I did not state that Tortorella is out of touch as a coach. I stated that certain specific remarks he made during his press conference concerning the Flyers past and legacy were out of touch. You don't have a clue. Why would I be afraid to respond to you?

He's not out of touch, he know thats not the situation but he knows fans are like that when the team is good which is considered his job to do. The fact is Flyers fans are pationate and if we have a team that performs like the 2004 team and gets to the 3rd round, the building will be like that again.

Torts will need to turn this team from Water to Wine to get there though
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

He is out of touch but it's okay. He's talking up the franchise and putting out PR. This organization's so called legacy has long since been dead. It simply doesn't exist anymore. It's ancient history. They need to build anew anyway.

Brilliant!!!
PHUCK off A$$$hole I'd prefer you to not respond.
You think you are so brilliant.
Sit on in your moms basement and continue your keyboard wizardry here you loser!!
