Kadri is a prime example of a 2c. Strome and Copp aren’t close to that |

His cap hit is perfect at 4.4, plays physical, can play 2C or 3C, just turned 26 and is signed for 3 more years. - nyrangers9479
I was saying Bennett before FLA swooped in to grab him from Calgary. |

I was saying Bennett since before Tom got banned haha, he used to argue with me all the time about him being a bust. |

Well I don’t advocate dealing next years first rounder for Sam Bennett and considering Florida has traded their next 3 first rounders, you know they’ll be insisting on one |

I wouldn’t mind. I think the pick will be in the 20’s again. Not sure they get a 1st though with teams knowing they’re in a HUGE cap crunch. |

As you pointed out, he’s got a solid contract. If he’s who they make available to create cap space multiple teams will bid for him.
I’d still rather sign Strome or Copp for free rather than give up more assets.
We emptied the cupboard at this deadline |

I dont understand why people seem to have soured on Copp
he was tremendous other than the Tampa series
he's got size, he's physical

Too many people don’t view him as a center even though he spent a large portion of his career there |

the only problem for me when it comes to Copp is the contract he's looking for
but, if they make it long like they did for Goodrow, maybe they can get the number to begin with a 4

The contract is my primary concern and consistent top 6 role. He thrived playing on the jets 3rd line mostly. If the role with Copp as Panarins pivot I want a fast winger on that line that can shoot |

But Copp gives you flexibility to let Chytil take the next step. In a vacuum, Copp is a below average 2c/above average 3c, but with the scenario the Rangers are in he fits perfectly.
I say give Chytil the chance to blossom as the 2c. If it doesn’t work out, you move him and still have Copp as an insurance policy. |

So, what I'm hearing here is Kravstov with Zib and Kreider and Frankie Wheels with Bread and Copp. A little more ice time for the kids to balance out 3 attacking lines. Then Motte, Goody and Reavo on the 4th.
I could live with that until there's a bump in the road. |

I don't know how it's possible to sign Copp, Vatrano and Motte
there is barely enough cap space just to sign Copp |

a lot of people say "Kravtsov needs to be given the chance to thrive"
how can that happen then?
personally I think Kravtsov should be now be given a chance, and they really have no choice, he cant be sent to Hartford
need to find out what they have in this guy once and for all

I feel the same way, except I want to see the kid line stay together for the lion's share of the season. But, it could easily go the way you mentioned if needed. And, I was addressing the original posters idea of a fast skating shooter playing with Bread. |

The same folks that want to trade away Kakko are the same that were trading both Chytil and K'andre this year. - Greschnergy#4
