The worst part about the Bobrovsky contract is they had just drafted their goalie of the future 13th overall the week before in Spencer Knight. Either don’t use the 13th overall on a goalie or don’t sign Bobrovsky at 10 million a year for 7 years to block him. |

They might have to trade a good player for some cap space, they’re loaded with centers also. (Lundell Verhaeghe Barkov Reinhart Bennett). I wonder what Bennett would cost. |

Seriously??
Any fan of the Mets should care. They will continue to pay $1.2M annually for 13 more years to a guy that hasn't worn the uniform since 1999.
That is shameful management, cap or no. And they do have a cap, just also have the ability to exceed it at a penalty. |

yep, they have a cap hit this coming season of 5.9 million for Keith Yandle
I think they thought they were gonna win the Cup this year and just said screw it

Marchament is a goner, looks like they have 17 players signed and only 3 million to fill out the rest of the roster. |

Why should any fan of any team care what their ownership has to pay? All the management that were involved in that debacle (and ownership) are long gone from the Mets.
Likewise, DiPietro costs the current Islanders team $0 on the cap and hinders nothing. I don't care if they have to pay him until 2100 |

Yep the only thing that matters to us when it comes to contracts is how it effects the salary cap and what moves our team can make.
I could care less about the actual dollars owners pay out |

Yeah, if DP counted towards the cap I'd be livid...although not with the current management/front office |
