Far too many issues surrounding Krastov to know who he is. He’s already exhibited an immaturity and the willingness to sulk. Scoring goals is great, but not enough in todays NHL. Is there any physicality to his game? If he doesn’t get top six minutes off the bat, what does he do? Too many questions, I’m not giving him anything for the sake of his happiness, and neither will Gallant., he’ll have to earn it. |

I get he’s a “rookie” but out of the top 12 in his draft class Kravtsov 20 games and Hayton 94 are the only 2 players not over 100 games so far. I don’t consider him a rookie even though I guess he technically is. - nyrangers9479
The other aspect to Kravtsov is the coaching staffs deployment of him. He not only has to prove that he’s a gamer offensively, but will need to do so in the framework of a responsible player.
If I were a betting man, he’ll play most of his minutes on the third line this year. That just seems to be the teams strategy when it comes to young players. So again, 50-60pts from a rookie who is likely to be playing on the third line seems like a huge assumption. Certainly in the realm of possibilities though.
I’d love to see Othmann or Cuylle on the Left with Kravs on the right and a defensive center in the middle of them. |

well, he's cheap, 875k this season with no bonuses
and that's more important that anything else for this team

I’m excited about Kravtsov, I think he puts up 50-60 pts this year. Even in the limited time we saw him you could tell he was going to be a very good player. He should’ve handled last year differently but what’s done is done. - nyrangers9479
Going from 4 points in 20 games to 50-60?? Thats pretty optimistic. |

I'm optimistic about Kravtsov too, but I just think he could match Kakko's production if given the same amount of opportunity as he has had

That's fair.
I'd say especially if he's seeing primarily 3rd line minutes.
My hope for him is that he plays hard in whatever role the coaches ask of him. Once he's proven he is a committed team mate, then we can worry about statistical benchmarks. |

Kravs looked better than Laf and Kakko two years ago. Just a more mature player on the ice (not off). Hope he does well here |

I really believe that this is part of why Kravtsov was so pissy about being sent down
I think he thought he was just as good as Kakko

yeah, no great loss either way, but it's amazing when you see someone with skills not being able to put it together like Gauthier

I think that's an interesting point. For me, Kakko is too soft. When he does to add some physicality to his game he gets hurt,, same applies to Chytil... Of that group, Laffy he only one who has prospered by adding grit to his game. |

Says here that Georgy may have some trade value. I didn’t expect them to get much of anything for him - Slimtj100

I mean, somebody I was talking to speculating that Buffalo would do it because they need a goalie and they need help reaching cap floor
maybe for a 5th round pick or something, but either way, if by some miracle they are able to trade him, it wont be much

Some NHL Draft housekeeping for #NYR: A bunch of you have asked about whether WPG has decided to take a 2nd-round pick this year or next year to complete the Copp deal.
Answer: They're taking the one this year, which originally belonged to STL and came as part of the Buch trade.
Rangers don't have a pick until 4th round in 2022
but, in 2023 they have their 1st and 2nd rounders |

If they could somehow find a way to get Georgie signed then trade him that would be the best option. Not sure they can though |

the problem is that his qualifier is so high, they'd have to qualify him at 2.75 million and then they'd be stuck with him if nobody wanted him and then it would be too late to buy it out
most likely scenario is that the Rangers don't qualify him and let him walk as a UFA

If the article is true that a bunch of teams were interested in him then I’d say we could get rid of him to someone but who knows if those rumors are true. |
