I've always thought McCabe was underrated but the Sabres need a righty, not a lefty, for their top-4
- Hank Balling

That's a lot for Cat to. If Murphy is healthy I think he would be a decent partner for Power.

love people thinking bryson has some added value. hawks have more than enough bottom pair LHD.

i would take the 2nd trade and run, tho.

its not enough. 16 isn't going to get it done. dinky has 2 40 goal seasons and was on pace for another in the covid season. he has done nothing but score goals his whole life. he is also a decent 2 way player at this point, too.

the reality is KD is only going to move him for quality not quantity. He is under team control for at least 2 more seasons.

makes up for the other two terrible offers. murphy would be the better target for the sabres.

he has his flaws but he is a legit top 4 RHD. his contract is decent and at 4 years, the term is good.

for sure. i have seen some proposals for kane that begin with a 2nd rd pick. citing his age and contract..blah blah.

kane's value would be affected by the fact he can control where he goes. any team trading for him is most likely going to extend him. kane has at least 3-5 PPG seasons left in him and even after that could prolly put up 50-60 points for another couple of seasons.

plus, he loves playing with younger players, taking them under his wing and taking them to work out with him at the summer skills program he has been attending for years.

16 and a 1st next year, a player who potentially playing with Kane(Olofsson) who could probably give you 30-35 goals. Take Bryson out and take Vegas's 2nd next year. Don't think the value is that off.

Draft is 2-1/2 weeks away.
Should have done a mock draft ourselves.

We could still do it, would need 2 - 3 selections a night though, 2 early for a week then move to 3 a night.

C'mon Hank! Get this damn think organized.
Get volunteers to sign up for 2 or 3 teams each (spread out). RSH get's Montreal...that way we won't know what the (frank) happened straight out of the gate.

Homie raps it up with 41...DD get's to veto 1 pick...meet at 1st and 1st to decide which stands, the pick or the veto.

C'mon RSH ... give us #1 for Montreal - - let's get this party started in here.

Who's got draft poop to boast about.?!?
Submit your 3 Teams you'll pick for ... 1 primary, 2 secondary teams (that way maybe we can get more than 11 posters go jump in)...1st come 1st served.

# 9 is blocked out. we'll figure out who gets to make the Sabres 1st selection...16 and 28 are open.

1. Montreal Canadiens = RSH

2. New Jersey Devils

3. Arizona Coyotes

4. Seattle Kraken

5. Philadelphia Flyers

6. Columbus Blue Jackets (from Chicago Blackhawks)

7. Ottawa Senators

he is also almost 3 years older than debrincat. if they are trading dinky, any player will most likely be younger unless they take back a bad contract to up the value.
olofsson has never scored more than 20 goals and he is also plays the same position(RW) as kane. plus, he hasn't shown any ability to produce against top pairs which is what he is going to face IF he played with kane

Olofsson can play LW to, played it his first year with Eichel, so he can produce and only has gotten better. He played 3/4 of the year with a wrist injury and still had 49pts in 72gms. Cat is a fantastic player and I would probably go to pick 9 myself, but then the other pieces dwindle.

Is he more than a 2 year rental? Not a contract I'd want any part of.

Yes they do, but do you know DeBrincat has a $9M qualifying offer as an RFA with ARB rights after next season?

Obviously something that would need to be worked on, and hopefully Donnie could help with that and playing with hopefully a good young team.

yes. what do you think you are going to pay a young top 5 goal scorer? He also has 2 seasons in excess of 70 points and was on pace to exceed that in the covid season.

he is not a one trick pony. he plays the PK and is a decent playmaker.

In case anyone is curious about the blogging situation I'll give you the update:

I've stepped back into the part-time role I wanted and I'm excited to continue posting on this more relaxed basis. Michael Ghofrani (former Sabres blogger) expressed interest in coming back aboard to contribute content and I relayed that to Eklund. No word yet on that.

I wish I had time to do this full-time, multiple times a week but I work a lot and live in a house that needs constant work so it's just not possible for me. I'm happy with where I'm at.

20 goals. he also has never played a full season and is due a new contract and has arb rights.
