Dallas and Florida I mean are quality teams. I think any coach would be thrilled to get in on the top floor in Florida. That's just me. Of course it's more than just a great roster for a coach to pick his spot. Just curious I suppose.

In case anyone is curious about the blogging situation I'll give you the update:

I've stepped back into the part-time role I wanted and I'm excited to continue posting on this more relaxed basis. Michael Ghofrani (former Sabres blogger) expressed interest in coming back aboard to contribute content and I relayed that to Eklund. No word yet on that.

I wish I had time to do this full-time, multiple times a week but I work a lot and live in a house that needs constant work so it's just not possible for me. I'm happy with where I'm at.

Per Darren Dreger, the Panthers are in the process of hiring Paul Maurice to be their next head coach...I have mentioned this name before as one of the coaches I believed would get one of these jobs...I believe the Panthers are VERY high on Paul Maurice and this means that Brunette could be completely out in Florida, or be kept on as an assistant...

This will be GM Bill Zito's first real head coach hiring, as he had inherited the previous coaching regime with Quenneville.
