Bergy had some surgery too...repairing a tendon in his left elbow..has been bugging him last 2 years....10 week recovery

The good ‘ol boys’ club just bought themselves a little more time. Cassidy was the sacrificial lamb. Completely fair? Nope. But not without reason.

Cassidy was forced to take a roster with holes in it year after year and make it work, and to his credit, he did just that and then some. I think the problem was that the coaching style he needed to deploy in order to make that happen wore on some of the players and created sour relationships over time. Bruce was tough on guys, but he had to be. There was a little room for error if he wanted to ice a winning team.

Donny and Neely created the situation, Bruce dealt with it the only way he could.

Is it fair that Bruce was the fall guy? No, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Thanks n a perfect world, they all go.

Like I said earlier, it will be very interesting to see if Jake rescinds his trade request, Bergeron comes back, and Krejci returns.

Not Cassidy’s biggest fan but Sweeney is a joke.

Bruce Cassidy says multiple teams have already reached out about head coaching jobs. "I wanna get back to work. Hopefully it's a really good fit for both sides."

Cassidy said he was told at the end-of-year meeting that he would be coaching the final year of his deal.

"It'll be status quo," he was told.

Oof.

They should all be relieved at this point. Time to break up the boys club and clean house of Neely and Sweeney. Start fresh.
