Byram better be healthy. I would say this has to make Behrens untouchable, but then again I said the same about Barron.

Lehky is going to be a huge asset for the Avs during this po run they are about to start......and the return to Mtl is fair, not an over payment in any sense. Barron is just a highly touted prospect, Lehky is a solid NHL player.

Lehkonen is a good two-way player. Shows up every night and has steadily improved his game over the last 2 seasons. Excellent d minded winger for the third line that can chip in offense but can slide up the lineup if needed too.
Young and RFA, so gotta pay to get.

Colorado does not need a goalie . I like the players Joe has added but I think He has given up two really good prospects. Baron I was hoping He would leave alone

Barron was the Avs top rated prospect outside of the NHL. Best Dman prospect behind Makar and Byram. Nice get by the big boys!

I don't know. But Ek has said all along that the Avs needed a goalie...MAF, Price, Jake Allen. It was the #1 priority. So shocked right now.

I wanted Artturi Lehkonen more than any other player this deadline. Unlike Giroux, he fits perfectly. Sakic gets an A+ for pulling him away from the Habs who didn't need to trade him. The guys who do the trade analysis for the Athletic seem to completely agree.

With Lehkonen still under team control and playing so strongly, it’s a bit puzzling that Montreal would trade him at all. He seemed like a player who could be part of the solution, but the Canadiens clearly felt that Colorado’s offer was enticing enough to warrant the move. I would’ve preferred Montreal getting a first-round pick back here as part of the deal. A second is decent and Justin Barron is a good prospect according to Pronman, so it’s not bad. It just doesn’t feel like the home run package that should’ve necessitated moving a player like Lehkonen.
