I dont see how Fluery can be viewed as an upgrade for almost any team. I never thought he was anything above average in terms of goaltending.

Campbell as the "best US goaltender" take from 2021 has not aged well. But really: do the Leafs need Flower as a big confidence boost going into the playoffs? I think not.

CHGO reported a couple days ago that talks with TOR never escalated to CHI asking MAF for permission. The sticking point was that TOR did not want to trade their 1st rounder.

So, TOR would not have made the conditional offer here where MIN’s pick turns into a 1st if they advance to the Conference Final.
