NHL SOURCE: Habs have called about Chychrun and Lafreniere
My surprise team today...Montreal. They have all kinds of space and can jump start the rebuild. They are quietly calling on some BIG players. |

well makes sense, he has to call... if it's going to work is a completely different story |
|

because the Habs have so much to give in exchange...
but as pointed out, it's an "NHL SOURCE" not just any source |

The NHL wouldn't allow that trade. |

I tend to agree with this, I think MTL could pull a few rabbits out of the hat this off-season. Hughes is a very adept businessman coming from Quartexx, Etcetera, Saputo, etc. He's going to make some interesting offers and I believe some GMs out there will bite. He's also got some strong relationships with quite a few players.

It'll be interesting to see how they maneuver the draft and Free Agency as well, given Gorton's expertise and experience paired with Kent's relationships with players and negotiating skills. |

I mean what would they expect the ask to be? Certainly Caufield would be the starter and go from there
The problem with Laf right now is literally gets zero PP1 time (he just got his first EVER power play point two games ago I think it was) I’m not exaggerating either lol. The second unit barely ever gets on because the first unit is always scoring. People put that bust label on him already need to know that. He’s been great on the first line 5 on 5 recently. Put him on PP1 he’s numbers are way better, probably skyrocket |
