Blackhawks lines in morning skate vs. Ducks:

Hagel-Reichel-Kane
DeBrincat-Toews-Kubalik
Borgstrom-Lafferty-Kurashev
Khaira-Carpenter-Entwistle

De Haan-Murphy
Stillman-Galvas
Caleb Jones-Gustafsson
Mitchell

ETA @BenPopeCST
Lafferty has been bumped up to 3C. King said he sees him more as a center. "He skates well, so I like that."

He says "skates well" a lot - I feel like he might be undervaluing passing and scoring and defending

- pdx2ord

A center, huh? I saw him as a scrub.

Maybe another guy who came up to soon? Not sure how old he was when the Rangers brought him up.

The problem, or at least part of it, was the Hawks still considered their window open when they traded him.

Anyway, it should be a cautionary tale for some of the "trade Dach", "Dach's a bust" crowd but I'm sure that's wishful thinking on my part.

Different players but Dach has shown signs of being an impact player at times,

- HawkintheDbut we all know players don't grow or develop after the age of 20.

He was brought up too early (I think 19 or 20 year old? If my math is right. Straight from Jrs) and then got shipped to AZ. When was the last time AZ developed a legit top 6 guy?

Caufield is too tall. Need someone smaller in return.

1 goal in 30 games. If anything it shows how special Dinky really is as a player

I doubt Duclair will ever play the defensive game that Dach plays as a 20 year old. In my opinion that played a big part in the decision to matriculate Dach to the NHL, he was already responsible defensively. That being said, he should have stayed in Juniors another year, then maybe at least a half a year in the A.
Edit- Makar play notwithstanding.

Huh? He scord 20g on AZ. Between OTT and CBJ in 2019 he potted 19g. 23g in 66 games in 2020 for OTT.

He had a great season in FLA last year and is almost PPG this year.

The Hawks should of kept him around and tried to develop him. Instead he played 23 games and was let go.

Guy has legit talent and speed. He just needed to be coached up. Didn't get that in AZ or CHI.

Instead we got the Kahuns and Suters of the world to fill in the middle 6 forward spots.

Hawks have no forwards that opposing D are scared of getting turnstiled by. That is why we continued to see aggressive pinches by opposing D.

Reichel was just called up and he is probably the fastest Hawk skater on the roster. I don't consider him to even have elite speed.

I didn't say he didn't have potential. Certainly he is a physical presence. But he didn't do much here so I can see why they blew him out. Looks good so far with Fla. Good on him for persevering.

Lukas Drostal is starting for the Ducks, his 3rd NHL game. Never heard of the guy. I fully expect him to shut out the Hawks.

True true. You're one of the more knowledgeable posters. Didn't mean to come at you at all. I just hate seeing the Hawks lose talented youngsters with potential. Especially when the Hawks seem to have a hard time developing their own home grown draft picks.

My biggest issue with the Hawks is lack of team speed and the inability to complete multiple passes tape to tape. You can't succeed in the NHL if you don't have either of those.

Bet Riechel dents the scoresheet for the first time tonight. He will play a bit loser now that he has game 1 under his belt.

Who sits? WHen there all back

Murphy,s.jones,McCabe DeHann Stillman are probably safe and then 76,82,56 rotate?
Maybe a early trade?

For me Seth Jones, McCabe, and now Galvas should be getting 20 minutes a night, Murphy will but like that 35 foot shot he took with no net front presence when we had the Ducks pinned and tired are the little things he doesn't bring to the hockey club, hockey smarts

Well currently 56 and 76 are outplaying 82.
