So much to unpack here:
1) Rangers get back to their winning ways on the road
2) Shesty with his 2nd shutout in a row. 8 minutes left in the game, Sam brought it up but even the Rosen jinx couldn't get the Sharks a goal
3) Eleven years in the league and Kreider gets his first shortie? Hard to believe!
4) Grecco made a strong impression in his first game with the Rangers, should definitely get at least another game regardless of who exits protocol
5) Rangers starting to actually win face offs. WTF is going on here?
6) Saved best for last: Braden Schneider
Sensational debut! Looked like he belonged, surprisingly fast and nimble on his skates, made some strong hits, made some great breakout passes and the goal was just a Hollywood script come true! Wow, simply brilliant! |

I fell asleep sometime during the 2nd period, only to wake up for Kreider’s 200th goal and back to sleep with Sam saying “…and its a shutout for Igor Shestyorkin”.
Obviously… I have to end this post with…
I TOLD YOU FKERS SCHNEIDER WAS THE REAL DEAL!!!
Even Nemeth wasnt a complete pain to watch beside him. |

What a great night for JD.
Columbus torches Carolina 6-0
And Braden Schneider scores a goal in his first NHL and just had the look of a future star.
Thanks for making that one happen JD

Why do you always have to act like we don't know this stuff? You didn't tell us anything. |

can we please slap around the Flyers on Saturday, that would be nice - TPC
would be very nice to get out of this win one, lose one streak
and it's also gonna be nice to get home
9 more road games than home games played after tomorrow

I think it will be 5 days so maybe they have a chance to get Reaves and Goodrow back |

If Kakko, Laf, or Fil could score this would be accurate. The Rangers don't have any depth scoring and their stars have been inconsistent this year except for Kreids but that's coming eventually like it always does.

A small part of me is happy the Rangers haven't won a cup since 94, a lot of these fans don't deserve it |

JD didnt get a fair shake. Guy wanted so badly to be here only for that ckskr to fire him for nothing.
I do wonder though how the team would have looked going into this season had they not fired him. Do they still hire Gallant? Sign Goodrow? Do they still sign Reaves and trade Buch? |

Fair questions. Totally agree and was really disappointed JD was shown the door. But, that was a step along the path to where we are, so...
Maybe he'll be back someday? I would think that would depend on exactly what state his relationship with Dolan ended like. And his retirement plan. He's not exactly a teenager. |

I absolutely believe that JD wanted everyone to remain, including Gorton and Quinn and that's the main reason he was let go too

JD was shown the door way too early. That being said, as I said before the hire JD being in charge had way too much of an old boys club feel too it and I was uncomfortable with that. While alot of that was not JD's fault, more and more this team's success is showing that maybe it was the right move in general to clean out the front office last summer. Drury still has several significant moves he needs to make, but we can all agree he 100% nailed the coach, and some of the depth moves have really paid off in spades.
