Depending on what Halak or Holtby would cost, I think that's fair value. He is also signed for next season so that's good. |

That Steelers team returned basically everyone from a one loss team the year before and just had a tough regular season as an 11 win team. They may have been a WC but they belonged. This team doesn’t belong in the playoffs and Ben isn’t capable of giving a fraction of the QB play he did in ‘05 as a sophomore.
That said I’m happy for him. Glad he gets one last playoff game after ending his final regular season beating the Browns and Ravens. Far better ending than last year would have been. Anything positive that happens in the playoffs is just gravy. - Victoro311
This team is awful. They don't belong anywhere near the playoffs. Definitely a statement of the overall quality of the NFL this season. |

I'd do it. Poulin is a trash prospect IMO and is nothing to lose. Allen would really make life easier on Jarry. |

I know it’s a rough year with all the ahl postponements but Poulin and Légaré seem like busts. I’d trade either. Zucker or Kap pretty much have to go for cap restraints. Hopefully hexy can find another heinen or mcginn, or make a hockey trade for one of the aforementioned.
How did kasper look in his few games? |

Truly hope we can stop penciling our mediocre prospects into the starting lineup during the offseason. The discourse is maddening. |

I think it’s mostly an AFC issue. The AFC in general seems to suck ass this year. The 1-4 seeds in the NFC are all teams I think would be really high on the contender list just about any other year (except maybe the Bucs who have had too many injuries on offense in addition to whatever the (frank) Antonio Brown did). And the Cards have the foundation of an elite team but have just face planted down the stretch. Feel like anything could happen with them. |

Puustinen might become something. I think we have some decent tending prospects, but most of our kids aren't even mediocre. |

I’d venture a guess that’s the reason burkie doesn’t want to trade more 1sts haha. |

Yah, don't have a single prospect that appears to be anything more than an average 3rd liner. |

They made no secret of it. Both Burke and Hextall said the days of trading high picks is over. Hextall is the anti-Rutherford in nearly every way.
I do believe they'll get a better backup. |

Personally I'd swap Carter and Heinen, or let Carter and Kap switch sides. Maybe Kap can snipe more on his off-wing.
On a side note, just thinking about this the other day, I wish the Pens found a way to keep Gaudreau. - Rinosaur
I don’t think it was an issue of keeping him. They pay Malkin 9 million a year to play better with him out of the lineup. Makes it hard to pay guys like Gaudreau. |

I'd do that trade for Allen all day, any day. He'd be a great insurance policy.
Its not far fetched in my mind that if the Pens had Halak, Allen or any other solid, not necessarily a spectacular lights out demi god, but just solid back up this season they'd be 1st in division and perhaps league. He's started 8 games and lost 3 in reg and 1 in OT, was pulled in another start that Jarry finished and won. In those loses he was incompetent but the team played pretty good in front of him, well enough to win. |

Game isn't on until 11:30 tonight....fvck. Up until 2 mins ago I was thinking it started at 8:30, which was dumb of me because if I know the 1st game vs them was in Pittsburgh haha.
Tomorrow already hates me. |

DeSmith is in Covid Protocol. Doesn't really matter as Domingue was going to get a start in California anyway.
I'd switch Heinen and ZAR, Heinen has played equally well both sides of the ice. He's being put in situations where he's going to be in the defensive zone much more than he's used to, so I want him on his strong side. To say ZAR is bad on his off side is to ignore the fact he is equally as bad on his strong side.

As long as he doesn’t push Simon out if the lineup I’m cool with it. Need Simon’s fancies. |

Where's POS Kane gonna end up I wonder....my buddy snagged him in Yahoo Fantasy from free agents the minute his contract was terminated.
Apparently there's been a lot of clubs contact his agent... |

As much as I don't want him on the Pens he's probably the best gamble for any time. I'm sure he'll sign for $1M and if he's a knuckle head, he can get sent down.

Yeah...I feel he's going to help a team a lot. Probably realizes he's not going to get many more chances to make the millions in this league. If he comes in on a cheap remainder of the season deal, produces like he can and acts like a decent human being he'll get another big contract in offseason most likely. |

They’re just touching base. I would be surprised if he gets many actual offers. |
