In the end, Steelers going to the playoffs lol. Probably to be sacrificed to another deep KC run, but just happy to be here right now I guess if you're Ben and the Steelers. - Thrill81
Steelers snuck in as a WC to win one for Bettis. Could they do it again for Ben? Probably not, their D is atrocious against the run, probably gonna get blown out again by KC but who knows. Ben can barely throw the ball 10 yards anymore lol it's (frank)ing ugly.

Man I'd love for a last dance type run for Ben, but just not likely lol. With the Penguins, I'm always wanting a cup, but right now for the Steelers I'm just having fun. Seeing Watt tie the sack record was cool. |

hahaha Zucks needs to change some sh!t up, yup, and no better time then when slumping. Sentimental or not, he can start by tossing that jinxy watch. First, of course, he has to come off the IR haha...

Najee, Watt, Heyward would have to absolutely dominate this playoffs. Can throw Minka in there too. And Ben would just have to not turn the ball over. Tuitt was a huge loss this year as well. |

While I dont follow the sport near as much as hockey, I really respect the only 16 game seasons and single game playoffs. Makes it so exciting. Looking forward watching more football this coming weekend than I did in the past 4 months combined haha. |

I attempted watching football again. Still fat dudes falling into each other while the few athletes on the field run predetermined routes. Made it about 13 minutes and watched fishing videos on YouTube. |

Burke saying this team is a contender, but not worth spending a 1st round pick to bolster at the trade deadline is kind of annoying. At this point, the future isn't going to be drastically altered by a 22nd or 32nd overall draft pick. If you can get a deal to sure up this roster you have to pull that trigger. |

I would agree if the Pens needed that much of an upgrade, but I don't think they do. Would it be nice to take a run at someone like Pavelski or Hertl? Sure, but I don't think it's necessary.
The only situation I'd want him to be open to moving a 1st for would be some kind of hockey move.

When/where did he say this?
I'm of mixed feelings about it. I'm sure this could change if circumstances change before the TDL on March 22nd ie: very important player gets injured down the stretch...could be gone for season or set to return if Pens can advance..but Pens are still competing well and in good standings place. |

I'm just saying, if the opportunity to get a game breaker for a 1st happens by the deadline I wouldn't pass that up just because you want to keep a late first. |

I just think that any upgrade should be welcomed. This team getting one more goal scorer to sure up each line would do wonders for a deep run. |

This isn't GMJR who telegraphs his every move. Not saying Burke isn't telling the truth here but let's not jump the gun. Also not like the Pens were going to add anything significant without moving salary out anyways. |

Nor do I think they need to make any significant moves outside maybe a hockey trade involving Zucker. |

Current lines
Guentzel-Crosby-Rodrigues
Carter-Malkin-Kapanen
ZAR-Blueger-Heinen
Bjorkqvist-Boyle-Simon
Dumoulin-Letang
Pettersson-Marino
Matheson-Ruhwedel
Riikola-Friedman
Personally I'd swap Carter and Heinen, or let Carter and Kap switch sides. Maybe Kap can snipe more on his off-wing.
On a side note, just thinking about this the other day, I wish the Pens found a way to keep Gaudreau. |

I would rather have Carter with that 3rd line too, but O'Connor is able to come out of protocol tomorrow so these could all change. |

I was wondering if Malkin doesn't play how things shift, but it was just reported he is practicing on the #1 power play so that is a good sign he is very close. |

DOC sent down to WBS. Has gone 16 games without a point so probably the best move at the moment. |

That Steelers team returned basically everyone from a one loss team the year before and just had a tough regular season as an 11 win team. They may have been a WC but they belonged. This team doesn’t belong in the playoffs and Ben isn’t capable of giving a fraction of the QB play he did in ‘05 as a sophomore.
That said I’m happy for him. Glad he gets one last playoff game after ending his final regular season beating the Browns and Ravens. Far better ending than last year would have been. Anything positive that happens in the playoffs is just gravy. |
