Since I'm on a roll with predicting scores I'll start out with a 6-1 forecast in favor of the Rags for Wednesday night. Put your money on it!!!

Swami, Jr., hello
- THE BLACK HAND
Gotta entertain myself in some way, so might as well start betting for them to lose and making some money on these clowns. I've basically lost all interest in this team. The simple conclusion is that they are simply a bad hockey team as they are currently constructed and the injuries are showing just how thin this team really is. When the Devils scored that third goal I couldn't turn the TV off fast enough cause I knew what was coming next. Of course, I didn't bet on my prediction from last night's game, so I didn't even get any cash out of it.

Yes! Agreed, its a lot of things happening at once, its pointless to focus on 1 player's faults time after time.
- jd250

Bottom line is they lack the talent. Then from there everything snowballs with bad coaching and bad management.

There have been enough injuries this year to have an inbuilt mgmt excuse, given the way sports businesses work. Indeed, even if fans stay away, the covid excuse is there.

However, likely scapegoats are AV and gang if they cannot right the ship. Risto stays. Roo stays. CF stays.

When a team is non competitive the use of scapegoat doesn't really make sense. There are several to blame for the current mess that is on hand.

Would a real coach even want to come into this poop show? Lazy players with little heart. Not that talented. It would be a kiss of death for them more than likely.

Look, I don't really care if you will ever understand this, but you CAN'T build a championship team by ONLY drafting and developing! Its impossible! Even Tampa needed to bring in players to get them where they needed to be. And quality assets? Yes they traded 2 picks and bottom pairing Dman for a top 4 Dman. The Flyers traded something to get something, they took a risk and I am fine with that, and so should you be!
- jd250

I have never stated that you can only build a championship team by ONLY drafting and developing. So your comment here about what I don't understand, is off the mark. What I have been consistently stating is that you can't rush and escalate the process and clog your team up with older declining players who eventually become cap clogs. Trading youth for youth to tweak your team is fine. When the time is right and you need to make a few key moves when your team is there, that's when you look to add vets and higher priced players. Then it's time to go for it. Free agency for the right player is also okay. Such as my recent statements that I wished the Flyers had signed Hamilton.
So before you tell someone about understanding something. You should understand yourself. I'm smart enough to know that I shouldn't be fine with what the Flyers have done. In an exercise of futility, I have been telling you about it since the Summmer.

Did you see Taryn's sweater yesterday? And the further evidence of 'non-ironing boardness'? And the pendant nestling in the decolletage with the "FU Black Hand" sign?

I am not focusing on him. I have not started a conversation on the player. I have responded to those who focus on him in their posts.

Most people questioned Ellis' durability when they acquired him. How is it bad luck that the guy was literally hurt immediately?
- PLindbergh31

It's not bad luck, I think you nailed it. Nashville moved on from an older player who was beginning to show signs of injury problems, or at the very least a question mark turning 30 and didn't want to find out like we are. Unfortunately Fletcher's plan revolves around the success of this deal, which could get even worse. What if Ellis cannot fully overcome this hip injury ? He may play again, but will he be able to move like before ? This situation is far from over.

Dave Scott requires action. Who is going to be the first sacrificial lamb?

Is Bill waiting to post a new blog to see if anybody is fired?

Is Dave Scott trying to decide how much of the damaged body needs to be cut out?

Who has the authority to remove Dave Scott from his position?

He has said he had never had that issue before…groin injuries are tricky. His other big injury was a broken knuckle, along with a concussion from a cheap shot from Corey Perry…If we had traded anything of value I’d be more concerned….Myers still looks Myers when he’s not a healthy scratch and NP can’t stay healthy to save his life…I still think this one will work out. Your right about this not being lose to over.

Phantoms killing it in last place. If this GM has any balls he gets rid of the coach. Then waives Yandle Nate and Brown (still laughing they waived NAK over those 2 slugs). Forces the new coach to play some young players with upside. They are at the point they need to integrate certain players.

Make a deal for Kane at 50% retention. Kane and 2nd for JVR or Oscar and 4th.

Tony D would have been a nice add; too bad comcast didn't want him.
