Yeah dude, I hear you. It is funny that it would have to be Durzi of all players to score even in a blowout. Hopefully the Leafs are flipping the script a bit because too often their former players do well and they also lose the game. 😭
Agreed the 5-on-5 goal for Matthews was nice to see. If he gets on one of his goal-a-game heaters that would be entertaining. - Zezel

To be fair to both sides, before the game it was Durzi scoring the winning goal to be leafy not just score in the game or be a blow out. I also get everyone else's side who wants to say it's leafy his first NHL goal is against the team that traded him.
Pretty great, actually! The opening act was a very talented singer and multi-instrumentalist, Luna Li - dream pop / chillwave with a bit of a jam vibe going on.
I think I've seen Chvrches 3x now and they've been fantastic every time - high energy though I'm not too crazy with the new album.
This was my first concert since the pandemic hit and it felt a bit weird. Unless you were holding a drink, most people were wearing their masks... of course, people would hold their drinks for the entire concert. To be honest, as packed in as we were, I'm not sure masks were actually going to be effective anyway.
One particular hilarious moment was a guy wearing his mask in front of me pulling it down briefly to shout "whooOOooOooooo!". Like... really?
Lastly, it was at a brand new club called HISTORY in the Beaches area of Toronto. I guess Drake owns it or something. For those going to that venue, do NOT park in the parking lot on Eastern Ave -- not unless you enjoy waiting for an hour to get out of that lot. - mjones242
Still have not done a concert, and we used to go to half a dozen a year for sure. Haven't done a sporting event either.
I still have little faith in humanity. My kid just texted me, he's like I'm legit sat in my seat on the actual plane and I have not been asked for a vaccine card once. 🤷🏻♂️

I've got another one coming up in December to see Roosevelt @ The Axis Club (fka. The Mod Club). Smaller venue = less people = me happier.
At about the half way point during Chvrches, as good as they were on stage, being surrounded by all of those people I thought to myself, "yeah, I'm looking forward to getting out of here". I kept checking the time.
Pre-pandemic I would never have felt that way at a concert...

Woll is in tonight.
I know its only been 2 games but I'm feeling pretty comfy with a Campbell /Woll tandem. Hopefully this keeps up and Mrazek is moved out in the off season.
Honestly, this team does not miss mikkey, get him in for few games once healthy so he can kill plays and then get rid of him for anything.

help with a birthday meal for me and my guest one year - dmnted
I came across this company from South Carolina that sells heirloom grains and rices, all cold milled that it ships up here. They also have these amazing recipes that are just so much (frank)ing work. This shrimp bisque was so good but they wanted you to use homemade fish stock which meant driving around looking for fish heads or frames. It was a two day process but man, was it good.
I’ve also never tasted better rice. It sounds weird to think that there’s a big difference but it is so good. But again, more work. Cook it in lots of water, drain and then spread it out on a baking pan with dabs of butter in the oven to dry.
Here’s the bisque recipe with link to the web site if you ever want to get their stuff.

Same: I miss live concerts, Have great seats for Roger Waters, ZZ top and Ringo. Thinking about going to see Peter Hook and the Light. If I get brave, I might do a Blues Cruise.

Pandemic reference aside . . . we all have tendency to glorify the past and whatnot, but I swear somewhere there was a split in the timeline and we're in the bad one. I think it's what really happened in Y2K. I worked on Y2K projects for my company. They gave me lots of unwarranted bonus money to stay and work through Y2K. Do you know my contribution? I told a tester which date fields existed on ONE screen of a massive Order Management tool. I'm just saying there's clearly more to it. Dig deeper! The conspiracy is real!
