Other than Buffalo, a team that will likely be a perpetual poopshow until there is an ownership change (sound familiar???), each one of those teams is miles ahead of the Habs - even Detroit, now with Yzerman getting it done - and I doubt there is not many Habs fans that wouldn't trade the Habs current roster and prospects for any one of those team's rosters and prospects

ya, you kinda missed the point, take the Leaf for one example, 3 top 5 pick between 2012 2016, still sucked balls in playoffs to this day ( will 2022 be any different ?)
then how long Edmonton as been turrible….. bravo on poiting out they are FINALLY good, but are we ready to spend 7-8 years in the basement ?

Players don't want to come here as free agents (unless no one else has cap room or wants them), players have NTCs stopping trades to MTL...
How else do you fix this poopshow?
I am ready for something different.
Cause winning 1 out of every 4 games cannot be worse than a complete rebuild at this point.
