I agree, but when he has produced, it was when he was playing with Zib. Thats why I specified the need to change the mindset of how the line plays. Rather than up the boards, N/S, dump and chase... they should try entering with the pass. Create space with skill, skating and passing rather than wrap around passes and board play.

Im not saying we need to take that line away. I think its incredibly important that our top players maintain a synergy. Im just suggesting trying different looks. Become a little less predictable when youre playing with the lead.

All he does is take penalties and occasionally make a fancy looking play that doesn’t end up going anywhere

Mercer the best player on 3-4 shifts. Laf invisible. People really blaming development issues within the rangers organization which I buy, but it more is on the player. Laf has no speed or explosiveness. Nothing he does stands out
