As far as why didn't Reaves do anything... The Rangers were up by 1 at the time. You want Reaves going after Subban who would just turtle and Reaves gets an extra minor, or knowing these refs, a double minor. Think people!

Seriously though. You know Subban wont fight. We are up by 1 in the 3rd, it would have been dumb as hell to do anything. First period or a blow out, sure, go to town.

Rangers were up 3-2 with 11 minutes to play. Subban has hurt 4 players this year with his "kicks"( including 2 Rangers). You put Reaves out to send the message that he can never do that again in MSG. If he turtles, you keep going after him. That's the way it has to be.

I know I'm in the minority on this one. I get it. I am very old school that way. But Subbans face needs to be punched, we have the right guy on the roster for it, it needs to get done.

This time it was Blais. Previously it was Reaves himself. What happens next time when its Panarin, Kreider, or Mika? The league has made it clear they won't do anything. This is the reason we got Reaves in the first place!

That sucks but the silver lining is that the Rangers have a game removed from their condensed schedule. They'll be well rested when I go to the game on Sunday.
