I’ve been quiet about him lol but maybe try Gauthier for a game or two? He does have speed (seems to be lacking some) and almost scored a couple times

Hunt doesn’t cut it for me

- Slimtj100

He's never going to set the world on fire, but aside from that brutal clearing attempt in the 3rd, I thought that was easily Hunt's best game.

Agree with a lot of this, but Georgie DID make bigs saves for them last night, a number of times. No one home to help him on a couple of those goals.
- Tonybere

Comparing to Shesty is probably not fair, but he saves the PP goal for Puhljarvi. Valley was all over Georgy for that one lol

No I’ll be making the drive to Ottawa for the game on the 20th. 8 of us are going including my two kids first game, didn’t feel like spending over $100-$150 at least each ticket in Toronto where in Ottawa they are $30 each
- Rangers99

Makes sense. Ottawa is kinda far for me. A buddy texted me after the last Toronto game saying he was taking me to this one. I'm getting dinner and the GO train.
My 1st time seeing NY in Toronto!!

Nice, enjoy. My brother in law will also be at the game in Toronto with my nephew. I haven’t been to a rangers game in Toronto since Jagr, Shanahan, and Gomez was on the team and Valley was in net that game.

I just meant no one else to sit for Gauthier. Unless it’s Kakko or laf probably

Hunt is Howden on the wing basically. But he is the least of the problems tho haha

They need an infusion of speed into the lineup, hence my point and I really thought he’d be a gallant kind of guy

Lol
My last game in Toronto was a shootout win over the Caps when Cujo entered the game as an injury replacement just before the end of regulation. 13 years ago. I think!!

Playing a full 60 minutes is definitely this groups bugaboo. They’ve only done it maybe twice so far

McDavid may be the most gifted hockey player ever. He is Harry Potter on skates and with a hockey stick

I am worried none of the young players are playing well under Gallant. Laf, Kakko, Miller and before last night Chytill have all been pretty invisible or bad most of the year.

These players are key if this team will be contenders

Kakko and Laf didn’t play well under quin either. Everyone complaining about Goodrow in the 1st line. If Kakko and Laf had 10 points each Goodrow would still be on the 3rd or 4th. It’s a domino affect. They banked so hard on those two hitting big off the bat. Even miller looks like Brady skjei. If they don’t take the next step this team isn’t making the PO

Im on record saying that given the opportunity I think Robertson could be a better NHL defenseman than Miller, and have said that we should potentially trade Miller to upgrade.

Gallant although a solid coach is not easy to play for .. esp kids.. that is one of the reasons Vegas had such a veteran roster.

Which seems kinda odd after he coached the Canadian junior team to a gold medal.

I finding puzzling who plays in OT. Kreider is having a great year and I not female doging on him but ot needs puckhandlers out there . He wasn’t the cause of the goal but makes me wonder why he’s out there. Now for Trouba , talk about panic , when he iced the puck he had time to make a play but chooses to ice it. He should never be out there. Fox, Lindkvist maybe Miller. A team up by 3 should not lose , I don’t care who they are playing.

Not the reason at all. They are still trading away picks and prospects after he has left

Ive been saying for a while they make boneheaded coaching decisions in OT on who to put out there. Kreider should not be out there on OT, it doesnt suit his style of play.

Panarin, Strome, Zib, LAF, Kakko, Chytil, Blais
Fox and Nils

These are the only people that should be out there in OT.

I have it on pretty solid authority... from someone in Henderson.. which is the Vegas AHL affiliate .. that it was the primary reason they let him go.

Now could it be that is not the reason .. sure.. But this guy would be in the know.. just 2 cents worth.

But they continue to trade picks and prospects. The panthers had a fairly young roster. He does something to pass people off or he would of lasted longer with winning teams.
I like him thou and wanted him here

For better or worse we all wanted him here in the hopes that he could get these guys to start playing winning hockey like he did in Vegas and Florida.

I thought this was going to be a hardworking, relentless, forechecking system

Maybe it’s the players. Can’t get blood from a rock.

I never understand why Quinn and now Gallant have said they want a hardworking, relentless, forecheck game, when the team doesn’t have the personal to support playing that way. Quinn didnt have it at all, at least Gallant has a line or so who can get in on the forecheck, but it’s not the 1st or 2nd lines, that’s for sure.

Everyone female doging about the D I do not understand. They are tied for 6th in GA per game. They were 3rd before last night. They played the BEST offensive team in the league last night and got torched on the PP.

Letting off the gas after the 4th goal is super concerning but I think that will come around.

Kakko looked awesome before his injury but everyone is forgetting that. His skating and puck possession were markedly better than last season. He made some great defensive plays last night.

Lafreniere is a little more concerning. I don't even think it's his skating, he just seems completely deflated, almost uninterested. Still see some skill flashes from him. Almost ready to say demote him.

I think Kakko and Lafreniere are unique since they both entered teams where they're not gonna get top minutes every night and it's stunting their growth. Their games are too safe, I'd rather they go all out on offense and figure out the defensive side later.

Face facts here, if it was for Shesty they wouldnt be tied for 6th best GA in the league. Trouba and Miller are terrible, Nemeth and Tinordi are AHL players.
