It’s not the coach, or the system, Quinn was no better and his system didn’t work either.

Panarin simply is not the same player he was prior to the Russian incident.

Kakko and Laff are invisible. Maybe too soon to label them busts, but the clock is ticking. Neither can skate at the NHL level.

Miller is the 2021 version of Brady Skjei.

Rangers haven’t hit since the 1st game debacle in Washington, besides Blias. So much for being hard to play against.

Chytil is improving, a move to the wing would help his confidence further. Although he’d need to commit to the work in the corners.

Gorgy is awful.

The sooner Drury realizes the mix is wrong, the sooner he needs to make a blockbuster, and change the direction All of those NMC are going to inhibit his ability, so, prospects have to go.

Trouba should never, ever, be on the ice in OT.

No idea, but it’s not the right mix for continued success, the salary cap and NMC notwithstanding. Maybe blockbuster is a bit strong Under the circumstances. Another north south forward would help perhaps.

I don’t know if I want Drury making some blockbuster trade. Really don’t know if he has any clue what he is doing

You telling me KK and Laff cannot skate at this level... Z is no speedster and it hasn't hindered him. That seems like kinda a reach.

I thought Breadman was good last night... great tape to tape passes and making plays...

Zib a far and away a better skater than Kakko and Laf. I wouldn’t say that’s the only reason but it’s one of them. The rangers were gifted two top picks and they both look like ahl players

Let's play this out... Breadman for our next yrs unprotected 1st - which right now would be about 20th or so. So we need to add to that...

Recognize - Z / Drysdale / McTavish and Lundestrum & Terry are no go.. who else you want with that 1st unprotected.

What do McDavid Crosby, Matthews, Barzel, McKinnon, Draisaitl, Etc. all have in common? All are high draft picks, and all are elite skaters. Kakko and Laff are not half the skaters those players are, and yet were touted as very high prospects. Something is wrong with the scouting system or perhaps they were playing against inferior competition. Either way, no, the are not elite skaters, perhaps I should been clearer.

11 games into a season is way too early to already want to make blockbusters and trade everyone. The overreaction in here is insane

You guys are (frank)ing brutal.
Everyone here talks like we are supposed to beat up on every team like they are Jr. B caliber. That was a team that hasn't lost a game in regulation this year, showcasing two of the best on the planet.
We dominated 85% of the 1st period and found some push back after they tied it up. We also scored a season high number of goals. Georgie finally looked confident for the 1st time in over a calendar year.
But, all our players suck, the coach is clueless, the GM doesn't know what he's doing...
I guess teams fluke their way to 6th overall in the NHL all the time. SMH

No I’ll be making the drive to Ottawa for the game on the 20th. 8 of us are going including my two kids first game, didn’t feel like spending over $100-$150 at least each ticket in Toronto where in Ottawa they are $30 each

Nice post, and agree 100%

And they’re 6-2-3

They have played like crap every game. But somehow they’ve gotten plenty of points, and pts in literally every road game but one of them (7 of 8 games, and 7 in a row) that is impressive to me anyway. They have come up with very clutch goals all season so far, but never ever is that mentioned.

As far as systems, Edmonton makes everyones system look like an AHL team and Georgy needed to bail them out once or twice last night, and he didn’t
———
I will say the struggles of Miller, Laf and Kakko are extremely concerning, but I do believe the systems, new coaches, etc have something to do with that. Not so much the veteran players

But other then that, this team will be fine as the season rolls along

I’ve been quiet about him lol but maybe try Gauthier for a game or two? He does have speed (seems to be lacking some) and almost scored a couple times

Hunt doesn’t cut it for me

Kakko is the most concerning to me because Miller and Laf haven’t even played a full season yet with the games they have played last year combined with this year

Agree with a lot of this, but Georgie DID make bigs saves for them last night, a number of times. No one home to help him on a couple of those goals.
