God damm you guys - now I'm craving the Keg!
I can't have it because my men's league hockey starts back up tonight & we got the 7pm game. It'll already be a challenge for me not to puke inside my net at some point in the game due to being out of shape from not playing in over a year, having a huge gut full of steak wouldn't help.
I will be equally exhausted from trying (unsuccessfully) to stop the puck and from pulling it out of the back of the net.
I promise if there are any very entertaining goals against me in this game I'll post the video here.
Now off to have the Phil Kessel pre-game meal of a nice tube steak on a bun! - Cush29
Why would you be craving the Keg? To pay $50 for Frozen pre portioned tenderloin?
George gone. Roy gone. Tom gone. Going to see Dylan on this tour if he comes this way. Gotta see the greats. Even the boomers - Canada Cup
Agreed, love the Wilburys, I was lucky enough to see every one of them in concert, George and Jim Keltner only once, the rest many times. Took my son to see Petty a couple of months before he passed away. He's definitely the only one in his class who has seen three of the Wilburys live. For that matter, not sure anyone in his class would even know who they are. Hell he even knows who John Candy is from this great video.

That’d be nice but no I think it’s the dudes from his last album. The last time I saw him, I think about 6 years ago, he was doing a lounge singer routine on a big festival stage in the desert which was kind of crazy. The only other time I saw him was at the Forum in Montreal in ‘74 or ‘75 when he toured with the Band. I know Win has seen him a bunch of times. - Canada Cup
Oh yeah if he was to play a show with Bob these days it would be the one time kinda special night sorta thing… I mean that guy is in his 70s and has earned the right to not be another guy’s touring musician even if that other guy is Dylan lol
And that show you got to catch in Montreal sounds amazing… I love the Band as well, I’ve read both Levon’s book and Robbie’s… they’re…. ummm… a tad different in perspective lol

I saw Bob in '04 when he was on a tour with Willie Nelson. They were on a tour of minor league baseball stadiums. It was very very awesome. Lukas Nelson was playing in Willie's band then, before he got rolling on his own with POTR.

I read both of those books too. Levon's take was quite bitter. I was surprised at how complimentary Robbie was. Having said that, he took credit for pretty much everything the Band ever did.

That’s the big problem, he basically (frank)ed over the rest of the band, that bitterness is from all 4 of them and sadly deserved

Terrible take.
They let Hyman walk, can’t keep losing players for nothing. - Arctic_AARDVARK
They consider themselves cup contenders and that’s what cup contenders do.
My guess is it’s Sandin playing where Rielly is next year. If Rielly costs more than 6 then the leafs are better off without him. He’ll be 28 by the time he signs which means if they keep him at 8.5 you better hope he’s still worth it at the age of 35 (which he won’t be, see PK Subban’s game)

Rielly is getting 8.5 minimum.
Maybe they’ll let him walk, but if they don’t try to keep their core, they’re just going to decline and Matthews will walk too.

15 times,
some of the memorable shows were with the Band, the Rolling Thunder review with Joni Mitchell , at the Nags Head North with the Paul James Band, On the 4th of July in Buffalo with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, when he found Jesus at Massey Hall,
His voice was never great, worse now, still worth seeing every time for me. Very few peers in songwriting and especially lyrics.
