It was nice to get a break from the meltdowns in here and go read the comments on the last Habs blog to see another fan base completely losing their poop - a team that went to the finals last year I might add.
I don't care what anyone says Habs fans are just as bad as Leaf fans........poor Scabeh in there trying to be the lone voice of reason in a sea of red hot anger and insanity!

Keefe has nothing to do with who the prospects are. He also doesn’t get the final say on who gets dropped from the leafs lineup as he mentioned about Adam Brook, putting him on waivers wasn’t his call.
You don’t like him, I get it, please remember tho he doesn’t have a say in everything and this is his first full season as their coach - Dozzer
i don’t know queef, i just don’t think that he has the chops to get our giant laffs bureaucratic leviathan to the cup
I’m sure that he’s a good hockey coach
i don’t know dubass personally either but i don’t like him as a gm
i do loathe how they’re all making hundreds of thousands to billions per year while telling us how committed they are to winning a cup with no results
one would think that a guy like shanny would be simpatico with a guy like sweet lou but it appears as though he’s satisfied with his current number of cups
sweet lou is and always has been committed to building championship teams
who knows why he was run off but he and some of his laff “has beens” have had a lot more playoff success than dubass

You need to be a tad more patient, Dubas has only been the leafs GM since 2018 and this is Keefe’s first full year as their coach.
Also the two of those guys working together have an AHL championship working the same roles together. Not to mention back in the OHL Keefe was awarded CHL’s coach of the year
Take a deep breath and be a bit more patient. This is the first year that Nylander, Matthews, and Marner will all actually be in their mid 20s as well
My guess is they don't want to spend so much time getting ready to go to the rink or making sure their suits are in good condition.
A lot of suits you can't machine wash. So you have to take them to the dry cleaners/need to make sure they don't wrinkle etc. I imagine it's a chore they would prefer to go without.
It is OK not to demand a hockey player wear a suit and tie everytime they are in public. (Especially when the vast majority of their interviews are done before/during/after the game when they aren't wearing the damn suit in the first place) - Leafs43

Thanks for the support buddy.
These are dark times.

I was a tad shocked at how hostile the crowd was to one of their own! That Mr. Peanut in there seems to be the common enemy that holds that group together quite often but today it was all glass half empty and chicken little-ish!

Wtf has Lou done since those championship Devils teams years and years ago?!
The only thing he did of note was hire Trotz. Great move but that's the only significant add he's made since being a GM for the Isles.
He sucks and the GM of the Year Award means (frank) all beyond a popularity contest.

"Sweet Lou" hasn't won any championships in a long time friendo.....he gets all this credit for what he did in New Jersey, granted I was all aboard the Lou Train when he came here too. Jeez I even walked over to the ACC (which it was at the time) and took a pic of his "Welcome to Toronto" pic on the jumbotron outside the rink the day he was announced (as I had an icy cold beer at Real Sports Bar mind you).
He handcuffed the Leafs with some terrible contracts and all the narrative about how much better the Leafs would have been if he had stayed is just that - insanely speculative narrative.
Who knows how he would have done negotiating contracts moving forward - he sure pissed of Marner with no signing bonus the first time. Terrible deals to Marleau, Martin and Uncle Leo - all the work of "Sweet Lou".
I'm not sold on Dubas yet but I am happy to see he has been willing to make changes to how the team is constructed to try and get success - time will tell if it works.

He took a team that hadnt made the playoffs in years and lost its captain and best player at the time to the playoffs for several straight years. All without high draft picks.
I guarantee that had Dubas won GM of the year or if he ever does with the leafs....so many on here will going on about it.

All great points, I get why it's hard to be patient as a Leafs fan when we have been for so long and suffered through not having the top end talent etc. Now we know that the team can beat anyone and have that talent the expectations have increased very very quickly.
