Here's my 13.
Kane, Toews, Cat, Johnson, Kubalik, Hagel, Borgy, Gaudette, Khaira, Dach, Kurashev, Hardman, Entwistle.
Imo, to keep Nylander; Strome, Carpenter, Connolly, and one of the above have to go first. This assumes Reichel is deemed not ready. - mohel
Guessing at least one of Hardman or Entwistle would start the season in Rockford for development purposes, unless they are slated to play every game here. Carpenter can be the reserve, as he is a placeholder who is what he is at this point. If they deem that the kids are ready and need to stay here, then it's time to waive/trade Carpenter.
Otherwise, I pretty much agree with that group, though I would want to see what Nylander looks like, and if there is an upside to be had, before giving him away for nothing or next to nothing.

Aren't the buyout periods closed? I think he'll be buried if not taken off waivers. - mohel
Yes. My lineup was assuming that Connolly would be buried. His cap hit would then be $2,375,000 for this year and next. |

Hey Theo, Just wanted to say thanks for the great articles. It is like you are providing us a 100 page term paper every day. I for one appreciate it. - riozzo
Agreed, we’ve been spoiled with Theo and Cameron. Both have worked tirelessly to provide excellent articles, digging up interesting Blackhawk facts on an almost daily basis. And both did it without pretending to be insiders by making up poop to try for blog hits. Thanks Theo and Tyler.

Thanks for the praise, all. While I can't speak for Tyler, it is always appreciated and guessing he would say similar.
And I purged the animus. Glad it was covered by insurance. Pricy otherwise. Wait, what are we talking about? |

I'll second Paul's comments! Excellent work!
Theo and Cameron have done an amazing job. I look forward to logging in the morning and more days than not Theo has a new post to read.
Plus anytime I message Theo he's always ready to answer any of my questions!
I'll also have to add that there are a lot of really knowledgeable posters on here who keep it interesting and humorous!
They have also been very receptive to answering my questions as well.
It's nice to see messages basically daily in my Inbox with Hawks fans discussing our favorite team!
Thanks for making a long time reader become a part of your group! |

Kalynuk sustained an ankle injury in practice today and is diagnosed as being out for a few weeks.
That's Galvas' chance to snag the last spot.
McCabe - S Jones
de Haan - Murphy
Stillman - C Jones

Something like that. |

Isn’t it usual to have 14+7=21 skaters?
So they could keep Nylander by moving Strome and Carpenter (Connolly is apparently on waivers, and gone).
That would require keeping 7 blue liners. |

Two of the seven started the season here last year. Stillman played 13 games. Might take a bit longer than a few preseason games to come together. |

I'm trying to find a way to keep Nylander. To me there are 13 I'd rather keep, even without Strome, Connolly and Carpenter. 14 if Reichel is deemed ready. |

Teuvo never did any of that while on the Hawks. He's a pretty good forward these days. I think we all want to see more from Nylander but he didn't play last year and he wasn't bad in 2019, considering he played with horrible talent most of the time.
If the Hawks are in win now mode then ship him out. If the Hawks are trying to develop young skilled talent then you keep him for at least another year. - bhawks2241
Everything you say including the Teuvo analogy makes too much sense to happen.
