Why is CP24 showing the results of Ontario elections on tv right now, when they can’t start counting votes until 9:30 pm? - Atomic Wedgie
Don’t know what they’re saying on tv but all they’re showing online is east coast results.
Let’s not get too specific about politics however please, not saying you will but if I allow it there will be someone who takes their opinions too far and begins to insult people who do not agree with their choice
Thank you |

For the most part… when it comes to politics I do wish people would go back to keeping their choice to themselves. Since the internet came into existence I’ve seen some rather rude behaviour by people now. |

Here’s what it boils down to
I will not allow political talk, if someone tries to continue after being warned I will ban them. |

It's crazy how any comments section on anything anywhere turns snippy within a few comments.
If you get people together in person around some common interest it will be friendly, if you do the same thing online it turns into a Lord Of The Flies. |

I can't make South Park references about how terrible the choices are?
You're running a strict ship in your return, Dozz. I can respect that. It had gotten uncivilized in here for a while. |

Some have tried and I’ve deleted the posts.
Unlike you guys I can still see the deleted posts so I know who is walking the line. |

They don’t need skill for that line, they need a big bugger who can play rough and park himself in front of the net. Matthews and Marner only need to use him as a screen. - Dozzer
Fully agree.
If he is out with Matthews/Marner - he is (as said) a big body for corners and in front and also a presence (can get nasty) for your softer stars on the line.
If you look at what he would do is the same as Hyman (not debating who wore it better here). He will create some space by driving net and get into corners in a heavy manner. By having a player who’s that large drive down the middle towards the net you create lanes for the skilled passer/shooter.
Another way to look at it - it’s not like Hyman added anything to those 2 on the rush at all. He was a retriever and mucker. He did have skill just not a ton through the neutral zone in a rush situation wherein speed skill combo is an asset. |

I agree. I think people are a little too bothered by losing Hyman honestly. Was he good? Yes, great? No. I’m happy the leafs didn’t sign him til he was 36 at over 5 million a season tbh. He’s the type of players who’s skill level fades in his 30s. My guess is maybe not this year but in year two or three he’s going to start getting injured more often. I feel bad about that but because of it is why I think Hyman is signed for too much for too long.

Ya absolutely. The injuries he has had are not great for a player whose value is to play a heavy game. I’m thinning the Oil get a couple years out if the deal…which might be all they need to be honest.
Additionally, I hate guessing and reading into statements but Hyman did allude that he chose to sign in Edmonton (amongst a number of reasons) because he wanted to see what he could do used in a different role. That sounds like the making of a player who getting a bit tired of being a horse and getting dinged up and wants to ficus on putting up more point. He is capable for sure, just not convinced the Oilers will be pumped if he starts to take his foot off the ‘reckless abandon’ peddle. My dad and brother swear that’s what happened to Domi one year where he fought and bashed less and tried to be another depth scorer… and Tucker (way lesser extent). They tried and had success putting up points but were ultimately less effective and not what the team needed. |

Hmmm I wonder if you’re correct and he’ll get to back off… I have a feeling tho if they start that way he’ll be asked to flip back to playing rougher.
I guess he might get away with it if he’s playing on McDavid’s line but if the opposition can start targeting McDavid more because Hyman isn’t playing as rough it might not work out.
We shall see I guess

I think he’s been signed for too long and for too much as well.
Glad the leafs didn’t attempt to match it. |

Hyman gets more points by playing his style. If he backs off he'll be meh. |
