He has to be anonymous you know...else all his "sources" wont trust him

I love that people still complain that his rumours are dumb. His rumours are the equivalent of articles in Playboy. This is a hockey forum, not a rumour site.

(Not directing this at you….. yet)

Remember the Jays signed Bill Caudill to a $1M contract, and he got death threats?

"No athlete should be making that much money!"

Strange times.

Luckily, Caudill sucked.

There were some pretty bad years here and some pretty good ones. I’m definitely into this current team. I’m going to try to Stubhub into a game next week. Maybe they can expand attendance. I’ll definitely attend in the loner section with my kid and his gf, so a loner group.

Oh man. They tell Robertson to dial it back. He goes full bore and gets a game misconduct final tourny game. Love it. Something tells me he is going to be a force in camp trying to make them give him a spot. Should be interesting to watch there.

At least for me, Gruber lost all the goodwill he had built up.

He turned into a real arsehole at the end.

Although he did win the World Superstars competition...

I don't even know. I just remember liking him. I bailed on baseball after '93. I'm the biggest bandwagon fan there is now. Like if the Jays are in a clinching inning of the World Series I might watch.

Based solely on WAR, Stieb should have gotten the Cy Young in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1984.

Bret Saberhagen had him slightly beat in 1985.

Stieb should be in the (frank)ing Hall of Fame.

Ugly crosscheck to the guys face ...in response to the guy crosschecking a teammate after the whistle ....I didn't hate it.

High fiest levels are appreciated.

And just some food for thought. Nick is 9 months younger than Caulfield (would have been a 2020 pick if he was born 5 days later) and outperformed CC at the 2020 WJr's.

It's in him to be a high level top 6 winger. Might just need another 1/2 season or so on the farm.

That 800k AAV for the next 3 years would/will be huge.

And I'm totally getting ahead of myself but a 4th line of Bunting-Spezza-Simmonds taking OZ face-offs an providing some feisty offence sounds better than anything 4th line crap we've put over the boards in recent years.

I know. Bissonette is really high on Bunting. They can definitely move him around.

I see him starting with the Marlies and stays there until Ritchie or Kerfoot get hurt. Those two are who start in the top 6 is my guess.

Ya, I think Robertson would have to steal a spot in the top 9. Another 1/2 season in the A is probably a good thing.

I like him as a player but I’m not sure he’d work well with Matthews and Marner since they need a bigger player who can park in front of the net. Not sure if a 160lb guy who isn’t 6’ tall could pull that off for a top line.

I could see him playing far better with JT and Nylander tbh since JT is capable of playing in front of the net.

I tend to agree -- as much as Nick is a digger and super-intense, he's not what AM34-Marner need on their line.

I'm really hoping Ritchie fits the bill as he has the size, tenacity, and pedigree to be effective on that line. Just hoping he's not sucked in to some stupid penalties.
