Why would he want to go to Ottawa for?
For that just go back home and finish your career over there.

Ottawa is going in the right direction sure, but miles away from a cup contender.

Wings signed Suter for a 2C role. No need for Kreijci. Suter is similar age to the core we're building whereas Kreijci and Staal aren't. Not that complicated.

Suter has a grand total of 55 NHL games getting 27 points playing with Kane and DeBrincat. To me this sounds more of the same as Filppula, Namestnikov ect... as failed short term attempts to find a 2nd line center or trying to make a 3rd line center into a 2nd line one. The chance of that working out are slim imo.


Krejci on the other hand is a proven top 6 center. For a short term 2nd line center, Krejci is a much better option even at his age compared to Suter.

I don't have a problem with Suter being signed but thinking this solves the 2nd line center problem is foolish at best.
