poop. Would have loved to get Savard for the contract he got from Montreal. 4 year at $3.5M AAV is not cheap but pretty fair and he is just the type of guy we needed.

Somebody is full of optimism that there are a flurry of GREAT moves coming.....

At this point we need Hallander, Poulin, Legare and Zoharna to make the team 🤣

If there is something positive to take away from the moves so far it is that it increases the chances that we get Saad. We now have a couple super cheap depth guys that the coach (for whatever reason) trusts to play in the lineup. That should give Hextall a bit more confidence in spending money on a bigger fish.

I have no issue with these signing, I'm just here for reactions.

This is not a "sky is falling" comment, but if the plan right now is to not be aggressive and just limp in, then I really don't see the point of re-signing Malkin and Letang. Why not just pack it up and start the rebuild?

I'd love to see Geno and Letang retire as Penguins, but ice a team that will barely compete for a playoff spot makes little sense to me.

This does make sense

Get some NHL bodies into the stable and then go fishing for a big name the will eat up a lot of the remaining cap

If the AHL/ECL guys don't work out you can fall back on some that are somewhat familiar and proven
