Cant help but feel Tatar could of been had in the 3 mill or less range...for the price of McGinn and ERod you're getting into Saad territory as well. 5ish mill I'd say he gets...but if his hometown team offered him 7 x 4/4.5 would he take it? |

So we have ERod replacing Tanev and McGinn replacing McCann... yeah, this is going well. Should have signed Gaudreau over ERod without a second of hesitation. And we have a little cap space left to replace Ceci and somehow upgrade our goaltending even though the great majority of goalies are already signed.
I for one respect the risk taking Hextall is making... Looks like he is betting everything on a 2.5% chance that we miss the playoffs and win the lottery to get Wright. - MacPatty
McGinn replaces Tanev. ERod was already here and on the bench for the playoffs, but he's likely a 3rd liner.
So far worse at forward, worse at defense, and same at goalie which is worst of all. |

Only thing I can think of is if they plan on LTIR Malkin and feel confident they can move Petterson before Malkin comes back. |

It's hard to say since every team in the Metro has gotten worse aside from NJ.

Oh the other GMs have certainly helped the pens. But when factoring in progression/regression things could head south real quick for the pens. |

@Rino looks like you were right about Seattle being players in UFA.
Colorado with a huge hole in net now for a top tier Cup contender. |

100%. Hate the status quo at goalie.
It's possible they believe DeSmith is capable of winning a couple of games if Jarry craps on himself again......therefor giving Jarry time to regain his confidence. Hate the risk though. |

Especially the fact they won't have Geno for a few months I don't have high hopes.

Another thing about DeSmith. He's pretty solid. I don't think he'll lose you a game like Jarry did. I just have trouble seeing him "take over" if Jarry turns into a disaster. |

Our free agency moves are analogous to the scene in Animal House where the girl removes her bra and toilet paper falls out before she passes out.
Underwhelming actions. |

The goalie situation could be a lot worse. Like if Hexy signed Martin Jones for 2Mil. What is Philly doing?!? I mean I don't hate it

What are the options now?
Keumper would be good.
Dallas has about 18 goalies signed, assuming both Khudobin and Bishop are available, neither good options.
Seattle now has Grubauer, Driedger and Vanacek... I expect they would move one.
Fleury in Chicago. I 100% guarantee Colorado is going to be going after him.
Who else? |
