You can tell Cam Robinson wasn't the only one to make those picks. Only 24 players 5'10" and under made that list.

Last year Robinson's list was close to 40% and 20% of his list wasn't even drafted.

Sillinger has my vote.

Cole Sillinger, C, Sioux Falls-USHL: Sillinger went to the USHL with the WHL’s delayed start and was one of the top forwards in the league.

“All Sillinger ever does wherever he goes is score, score a lot and play a reliable two-way game. I don’t see why he can’t do that in the NHL. He’s so smart that he’ll adapt.”

“He’s a winger in the NHL for me. I like the player a lot, I like his skill, he has an NHL shot, he’s competitive, but I don’t love his hockey sense, he’s an average skater.”

“I could see him as an NHL center. He plays hard, he’s responsible. The skating is heavy so, while I think he scores, you have to be realistic about how that projects to the league.”

If avg skating is the only draw back right now. Heavy skating while he gains some strength will turn into a bull skating.

What's the lowest you'd trade down to?

For me, I'd say the Rangers at 15, and it would have to be for a 2nd (minimum) and ask for a 4th as well.

I have no problem picking later. Loosing value on players slightly per pick but you would need to get more value back in return from the team moving up.

Rangers don't have a 2nd round pick this year.

If Rangers wanted to move up to 9, Nils Lundkvist who Van could use but doesn't need. Could be used later.

I'd rather Braden Schneider and one of their 4ths

I don't think there is a even 1% chance NYR would give up 2-1st round picks for 9oa in a not very strong draft unless Powers falls to 9oa

How does Schneider and a 4th become 2-1st round picks?

What do you think Schneider was last year? You think his value decreases after playing better than his draft year?

Okay,that is 1 1st round pick, I didn't see anything about another 1st in his comment, only a 4th.

that's not the question

"How does Schneider and a 4th become 2-1st round picks?"?????

Its a 2nd and a 4th to trade down 2-5 spots BUT with the Rangers for example, like you pointed out - they don't have a 2nd so you ask for Schneider or Lundkvist instead.

I don't give a rats ass fawk when they were drafted - if Drury wants to move down that's the price.

I just have no idea how you came to that conclusion based on what I said...

Because the trade up for the NYR was the 15th pick plus Nils Lundkvist to move up to 9oa. Lundvist was a 28th pick in the draft.

You went from talking about 15th, 2nd and 4th to just a completely different direction in your trade.

You just started spitting out random names and 4th round picks. I thought you were still including the 15th because that was the start of the trade. I mentioned adding Lundkvist and you then add Schneider instead.

To move up 6 spots what it's been worth a most teams over previous trades is about a 2nd round pick. Schneider is worth more than a 2nd round pick if added to the 15th pick. Probably worthy of a 15th pick himself now.

I wouldn't trade the 9oa for Schneider and 4th. So unless NYR plan on giving up Schneider and Lundkvist plus a 4th. No 15th pick added.

I am going off what Brooks posted, he said Schneider and a 4th, so I still don't see 2 1st round picks, do you?

For me, I'd say the Rangers at 15, and it would have to be for a 2nd (minimum) and ask for a 4th as well.

At what point did the 15th overall pick disappear from the trade?

That was the conversation the cost of trading up for the NYR.

Instead of the 2nd round pick which I said they didn't have, I said could be supplemented with Nils Lindkvist.

My trade was 15th plus Nils Lundkvist.

He then said he would rather Braden Schneider and one of their 4th round picks.

The point was still using the 15th overall pick plus to which he just said "Schneider and a 4th". No mention of not using the 15th overall pick.

That means trading down to 15 where the Rangers are picking - not also including the pick. That's where you misunderstoiod. There, its all cleared up, lets move on.

Scouching on Power - yikes, it gets ugly. Now with that in mind, I take some of Wills' "data" with a grain of salt. But some of his defensive analysis were eye opening.

From what I've read on Power by people who have watched him play multiple full games, he's a a pretty safe(by draft standards) bet to develop into a top pairing caliber dman, but there's definitely question on whether or not he'll be that legit #1 workhorse type. You also have to wonder if people just start to nitpick more with a guy who's been ranked as a top 2 pick for this draft for a long time now, kinda like Ekblad back in the day.
