READ MY POST 2 above yours....unless they win the initial play-in and the first round and a second series when there are one of eight teams left, they keep slot nine...
- wiz1901

Bill, do you see anyone with first-round talent being available late in the second for the Hawks?

Over the past few years in their own zone Hawks have been practicing social distancing given the amount of high danger chances they give up.

Good point regarding Keith. Teams need players who will challenge the young players and show them what it takes to be successful at the NHL level.

Kane has done this for a few seasons with the forwards.

- Elbows15

Always love the comments from the incoming players who are surprised at how hard the Hawks veterans, especially Kane and Keith, still work at their craft. Kane has definitely been the Pied Piper of the forwards for a few years.

At the beginning of the year I mentioned that if the Hawks finished top ten in PK that they would make the playoffs. The Hawks ended up 9th in PK and they are in the playoffs...

Bring it on I say. Get Hagel, Carlsson and Beaudin in the line up and roll with them in addition to the more established younger guys. Let them feel what the playoffs are all about.

I don't think it changes the Hawks draft position but I haven't seen how that will work. That is probably one of the issues that need to be decided.

- Elbows15

Yeah, I think the same thing. I am curious about draft positioning.

Where did u find this info? I haven’t read/heard anything that says the players will be restricted at all during action.
- SimpleJack

Probably the same place he read drafting a goalie top 10 is a good idea.

No checking only one in the penalty box at a time, goalies' crease has a clear barrier around it. All games end 0-0.

Did not have to read to see Askarov is a top ten pick ,just watch the Video . And yes there will be restrictions on the players . Should be a great baptism for our young players ,into the no contact playoffs .

Are you aware that you are as stupid as you are? Or does it have to be pointed out to you daily?

The king of never having anything good to say strikes again.

Literally the only time I ever see you post comments is when you’re bashing/attacking other posters. It’s pathetic.

I have watch the video. Never say him make a clean save. He is a long way from being worth a top 10 pick.

One of the most important things for me to accomplish before it’s too late is seeing Paul perform live. I’m ashamed for never having experienced it up to this point. Really hoping he does another tour here in the states sometime in the next few years...

We will see .Like I say at 9th I think he is worth the pick . Any higher maybe not .Who is your Pick at 9th . Just looking at MCKEEN"S final draft projections ,they have Rossi falling to 9th and Quinn to tenth. Askarov at 11 . They are both good players ,and I could live with both . I just think Askarov will be a future STAR and a steal at 9th .

If that's what they plan to play they'll ruin hockey for everyone that's never seen a game before. That's not hockey!!!

No brainless wonder. Immature person you are. Or maybe you are a narcissist like Trump. You should feel no need to make your comment. Go f””k yourself. If something is said which you feel is truly wrong or stupid, everyone should be able to see it. You have a penchant for being a condescending blogger. What is wrong with you. Are you Eli in disguise. I would love to meet up with you in front of a few dozen people on this board and put you in your place!

I don't know. The last couple of time I have seen him perform, his voice is shot. I am not sure I would cough up the money to see that.

If Rossi is there at 9, you shove everyone out of the way to make that pick. Quinn or Holloway are my preferences if the picks fall the way many have projected.
Others I would be okay with, too. I am just not a fan of drafting goalies that high. Their value is far below the value of a top 10 pick, IMO.

Mid 1st round? Maybe, if your scouts have one rated much higher than any other player available.
