Is that the 2014 coup? "Euromaidan"... You know, the one where USA and NATO interfered with a democracy and used Nazi militants to overthrow a government....

You’ll have to watch it and find out.

Here’s an interesting editorial on Sports Management and Women’s Equality. Like the others it’s graphic and heartbreaking but it really puts in perspective the barriers that half of our society faces when pursuing a career in sport.

More pro-Nazi propaganda. Is this from the 4th Reich Film Festival or the Aryans Matter Too Conference & Bake Sale?
- Marwood

Neither. It’s from the Mein Kampf Jamboree.

Speaking of comics, you see Moon Knight yet? My two boys love it. They even found a couple of Easter eggs during the second episode. They scanned a QR code they saw on screen and got a bunch of free digital MK comics. Smart marketing.

Yep it's well done. Wasn't into the books much my brother was but I am getting into it now. Really good to hear they are liking it. Snag your boys this:

Thanks, not surprising that a bunch of old boys perpetuate the old boys club. Maybe it’s because men don’t know how to talk to women and are intimidated, so they avoid an (potentially) uncomfortable situation by never shortlisting women for sports jobs?

One of my biggest shockers was when the oil industry tanked and within hours the Alberta government and the workforce immediately had their hand out. I was like "where all that personal wealth generated from low taxes and high wages?"

Everyone was spending as fast as they were making. Complete fiscal irresponsibility to rely on a volatile commodity market like oil and gas.

Now in fairness to Albertans, a vast number of workers are not from the province. Most are from out east, Atlantic provinces. I'm from there, they ain't good with money. The fact that these workers came to Alberta to reap the benefits and then abandoned the province as soon as the going got tough is inexcusable as well.

Boo to everyone involved in that mess. Feds included.

I lost interest in the article once they mentioned Serena Williams and Ronda Rousey. I am sure they could have found some different examples.
I do understand Williams, but Ronda Rousey?

TBH, my post was kind of a distraction to lighten the mood after our Ukraine discussion. Hence the “graphic and heartbreaking” line used to describe the editorial. The article is obviously neither of those things.

Saying that, we are seeing a reckoning in sports leadership. I see a couple more law suits by black coaches in the NFL, lots more females being hired in leadership roles amongst the big four NA leagues, etc.

It’s strange because I’m in an industry totally dominated by females at the leadership level, healthcare. At times I’m the only male in the boardroom. So my view on hiring equity might not fit with the common sentiment of lopsided hiring practices.

My post you commented on was an old one but I do think it still holds up. Of course, you might disagree

Sports is one of those industries that has been the slowest to adapt (along with politics). Nice to see things slowly changing.

I don’t know who that is, MMA fighter?

The examples were poorly chosen, but the point is valid.

Trump may he a goof in real life but that does not make him a poor President.

Love him or hate him he has accomplished more in less than three years than Obama did in 8. The numbers don't lie.

Plus I love that Jackass Anderson Cooper when flipping by the channels every night.

CNN just won't let it go lol. Trump exposed their fake news programs and guess what Cooper and CNN...you lost.

Deal with it.
