Why people don’t want to live in Edmonton is confusing to me…

https://www.cbc.ca/news/c...tibiotic-levels-1.6139240

Edmonton is the syphilis and methamphetamine capital of Canada. Charming.

JFC.

take a few days off and i seem to have missed all the fun.

did a little backreading and all i have to ask is:

with the amount of videos that dude posts, why isn't there more thought that he is in actual fact that tom (whatever last name that canadian teckashi69 looking dude has.)

think about it... i'm guessing that canadian tekashi doesn't have fans so who else would keep posting his videos other than the man himself?

Look, I know i'm probably going to be chastised for this but the woman in 68 years old. The claim is 56 years old. At some point, is it not about the money? There's no (frank)ing way Bob Dylan remembers 20 years ago let alone 50+.

Is there no way that this couldn't have been filed earlier? I mean 56 years after the fact seems somewhat suspect to me, especially given what's at stake. I won't judge Bob for it until the facts come out, but I do question his ability to defend it. The (frank)ing guy probably doesn't remember where he was last week let alone 50 years ago.

Don't get me wrong, sexual assault is horrible and something I fear for my young daughters all the time. I do however find faulse accusations to be just as bad and wish there was a way to punish that without discouraging people from coming out against the perps.

I somewhat agree but it’s up to the courts to decide his fate. Not sure if there is a statute of limitations for a case like that. Either way, it’s a very serious allegation.

Interested to know your thoughts on this one:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...lieve-wanted-rougher-sex/

Your partner consents to rough sex but then claims domestic violence when it gets too rough. Asking for a restraining order which will eventually lead to a civil suit. Hate to be the judge on that one!

Wolfie is not Tommy Trailerpark because Wolfie is morbidly obese. One of his late night pity party confessions a few years ago.
I guess he may have tried Noom and lost the 400 pounds but I doubt it, he's usually too busy doing his own research.

Funny but I’m guessing Tom MacDonald would post Booner length monologues. Obviously tommy boy is a man in love with his own image.

I’m guessing he’s the cause of the syphilis outbreak in Edmonton.

I must of missed that. Morbidly obese you say? That makes his posts even more hilarious.

when you posted the link, how could you not quote, "The highest rates we've seen since the 1940s, which is, of course, the pre-antibiotic era," said Dr. Ameeta Singh, an infectious disease specialist who works at Edmonton's Royal Alexandra Hospital.

"Despite all of our advances, we are seeing a horrifying rate of syphilis cases."

i think i've come up with what alberta should put on their license plates, "alberta: never let science get in the way of sex or politics."

Oh, I saw the irony/similarity/hilarity of the two situations. I was going to post it in the main thread but Makita laid the law down so I posted in here. Stupid is what stupid does.

And your license plate comment is brilliant.

The boards get more and more absurd when you take time off/aren't reading in real time. My time difference is pretty far ahead right now, so I just skim through and read things in the morning here. Man, what a fucking shit show it can be in there

So, what’s the worst case outcome for the election this fall? Split the vote (NDP-Liberal) and the Conserves win a minority government? Or Liberals win a majority government?

I feel like even though JT is a douche, the Libs are likely the least offensive option for the next few year.

Vancouver Island has become a Greens stronghold, but this could easily flip back to NDP.

I would have said Liberal majority but after NS went Conservative I’m rethinking my original prediction. NS is a Liberal stronghold and if they are fed up with Liberal politics then any province could go the same way.

Calling an election now may have been a huge mistake and might result in a Conservative resurgence. Again, it could all come down to an anti-Justin vote more than any other factor and the only legitimate chose other than Justine is that O’Tool guy.

Yup.
Although Erin O'Toole is the least scary Conservative we've seen in a while.
I prefer minority gov'ts, that way no one is able to play the bully.

Let’s face it, Toronto Metro dictates who will be prime minister.

Last election in 2019, Sheer won the popular vote (6,018,728 Lib, 6,239,227 Con) and he was a dork. But Toronto voted Liberal and that sealed the deal.

O’Toole is a much more palatable candidate then Sheer so who knows. Justin may have (frank) up big time by calling an election during the 4th wave.

It a shame that the smartest leader will end up with 3rd or possibly 4th, most seats.

I’m assuming you’re taking about Jagmeet Singh? Oh he and the NDP will finish 4th guaranteed. Lib/Con first and second, Bloc next, and the NDP distant fourth. The Greens could be wiped out totally (well except for Victoria Central)

Yet they will have the 3rd highest amount of votes, with almost 20% of the voters supporting them, and they won't even hold 10 % of the seats available.

It is a flawed system, that was designed for a 2 party system.

I voted to change the system but a majority of British Columbians voted not to.
