We could have been a better team right out of camp if we made this simple decision.
- SuperSchennBros

I’m starting to think that way, but with the way NP finished last year I was ok with the plan they went with. Should Hexy have overpaid for a mid six C last summer? I don’t know, with hindsight maybe yes, but with Vorobyev playing ok in the preseason it’s hust hindsight

Is it 4-1 Buffalo or 3-2 Philly?

Calm the (frank) down and put Giroux back at center so we can hang with these good teams!

Only with good goaltending they are getting today

Santa Claude! I remember Stevens played the top guys on the PK. And they scored a ton of shorties that season.

G on the wing also allows him to avoid the wear and tear of the centre position. He's not a big guy and he just doesn't match up well against other teams top 1cs. Cooter is a bigger guy and is better suited to handle that role physically.

You have no idea what the record would have been with that decision.neither do i. That's reality. This game it's working. Small sample size.

So many chances there to take it to the net but the constant push back to the point and eventual shot from the perimeter. Garbage.

That was bothering me too, both Raffl and Laughton had multiple looks to get it to the net, but way too much hesitation.

It is easy to see why the penalty kill is so much better lately. Giroux is on it. When you have one of the best players in the league (he is) on the ice in whatever situation you are usually going to have positive results!

Weise had a good month or so, kudos to him. However he flat out sucked balls for the 2 previous years and he looks like the horse faced turd that he is today. I’m not letting him off the hook just yet.

Its a tough call for me. He obviously helps that center position a lot being there.

He still takes a lot of draws wherever he plays. You have to wonder if it would just be for this year with Frost and Voro knocking on that door eventually.

Bullpoop! Wear and tear? Are you trying to tell me that wingers avoid more injuries as centers? Wingers have to get in the way of defensemen’s point shots. Wingers have to skate hard on the forecheck, using energy.

Giroux and Couturier apart create more difficult match ups and G is one of the best faceoff men in the league.
