We’re watching two different games bud. Narrative, gotcha.

You telling me it wouldn't have been 4-1 after one with the normal goaltending we've had. And this team down 4-1 would have flat it quit.

The buffalo announcers (Rob Ray) said the opposite.

Weise had a good month or so, kudos to him. However he flat out sucked balls for the 2 previous years and he looks like the horse faced turd that he is today. I’m not letting him off the hook just yet.

I love the passion...this will fire up the team when it is posted in the locker room

I do miss the nasty rivalries though

Montreal vs Quebec
Flyers vs the Rags
Edmonton vs Calgary

Those games were a blast. I don’t care about the fighting as much as I just miss the overall snarl. Totes nailed it when he said no one hates anyone out there any more. You see a glimmer of it when we play the Pens, but that pales in comparison to the rivalries of the 80s and 90s.

Don’t get me wrong, todays players have off the charts skills and I don’t miss the clutch and grab trap at all. I just would like to see a little more nasty out there most nights.

- BiggE

Exactly being from Toronto the night of the flyers leafs, you knew that there was going to be some nasty stuff. You would get so pumped just knowing it.I never feel that anymore.I love a great goal or save.Hockey isnt the same without the nasty stuff in it.Same goes with buffalo.Or even that time vs ottawa. Those were great. So great i remember these games from 10-15 yrs ago

Great goaltending on both ends, no question. Flyers deserve credit for nutting up in the 2nd period.

See I miss the fighting. I realize the game will always evolve, but I still miss a couple of tilts every game. I was never a fan of the staged fights, but I thought the game was also a lot more physical..
- landros 2

It's what it is and why Hockeyfights.com or YouTube is out there ..
That era of the game is gone, for good or worse.

Would love to see them due away with the additional 10 mins on the Instigator penalty or the instigator in general but shrug

Have no idea why Weise is a focal point for this game.

He been neither consistent or good the past 2 seasons I'll give you that. But aslong as hes a Flyer, I dont see that as a reason to root against him. Hes been the player he was signed to he this season.

Another thing I don't get is looking at Provorov. With the exception of the one play where he got turned around in the first period, he has been really good today.

I called him out because hes annoyed me on a few sequences. Hes in a top 9 role and needs to be better. Many others do to.

There was a lot of "obviously" in that interview.

Evidence proves this roster is weak mentally.

Stolie made huge saves. That's why they could come back.

poop JvR just admitted that they played a crappy start and are lucky to be able to come back when talking with Taryn

Really good is a bit of an exaggeration but he showed flashes before his goal and definitely got a jolt after it.

No it's really not. He has the most ice time on the team and the Flyers are completely controlling the play when he is on the ice.

I’m not rooting against him, I hope he plays well. However facts are facts. I wish Neuvirth was durable, Lehtera was fast and Jake played hard defensively too, but oh well.

That I agree with. Perhaps it’s the Wilson effect.

It’s 2-2. I never said they didn’t have a slow start. I said our top line has been very good and you are talking about how it should be 4-1.

Jeez.

If G could stay at center when Couts gets back they suddenly become very solid at the C position.

JvR with G I think is the way to get the most from JvR.

Lindblom then moves back to top nine on LW.
