Whats to say the 6 team personal interviews were only just that? JT nor his agent never spoke outright phone calls are not accepted. Now i don’t believe the Nucks have a hope but JB should make a courtesy call nonetheless.

They'd get a PFO in short order I'm guessing.

Unless he wants to shutdown EP. 😜😂

keep EP's 2nd contract reasonable, it's a bold move

I really don't see Green putting his shutdown center with EP.
- Nucker101

Just my uneducated opinion but I think Gaudette is probably already better offensively than the blackhole that is Sutter?

I know, just being facetious, he's not even considering the Canucks and really why would he with the clown-show we have in charge. Eventually they'll be good due to the excellent draft positions they've had over the past five drafts, but he wants to win now.

San Jose is getting long in the tooth, their top players are all old'ish thus their window is closing quickly, not sure that makes the most sense for him. Tampa if they can shed some salary like Callaghan AND Tyler Johnson could do it if he comes in around 9 million per. Big stretch though.

He proabably signs with the Leafs, they've got a good YOUNG team and lots of cap space.

PS: any team with Sutter as a 2nd line center is inline for a first overall pick.

So is that bad at this point?

Who knows, but Sutter has exclusively been used as a shutdown center by Green since the first game Green has coached here.

I assume Sutter will be playing with a winger that Benning signs(probably to fill Dorsett's old role) and the 3rd member of the line will be someone like Eriksson or Granlund and they'll get a poop load of defensive zone starts and play against top lines.

Until it’s the last ten games of the season and we should be tanking for a better pick.

No but I'm thinking, as Nuckhead just stated, they're not putting the best prospect on the planet with a guy who's an offensive blackhole.

For sure, he's a bottom six effective shutdown guy, that's where he belongs.

I would rather see speed and youth in the second line. Sutter is a great third line but by no means does he need offensive minutes.

They'll probably sign or trade for a C to play on the "2nd line"

WD used Sutter like he was Kesler and it was horrible. Green used him properly and he was actually effective in that role for Canucks. I can't see Green suddenly doing a 180.
