Are you drunk already? I just think your trade valuation is similar to someone smoking the old rock. "Hi Dorian, Its JB here. I'll give you spare parts for your future first ballot hall of famer. Oh, and I plan on underpaying him too" - neem55

Thinking on last year & a quick review...
Sven/Bo/BB
The line had great chemistry & i see it staying intact unless a trade occurs
Onto AG...
JV looked good with him. If AG is to be a given a chance to succeed & grow he needs a vet or 2 on his line. Who? Here are some
LE AG JV
EP AG LE
of the 2 i like to start with the latter. Why? Cuz Sutter is no playmaker & i rather JV still go slow & not EP get mired with Sutter.
The Sutter line...
Although it appears as a 3rd line its about deployment & TG likes his D game.
Leipsic Sutter JV
Tons of speed & i liked Leipsics spunk.
JV can always bump up to AGโs line & LE goes down in game.
4th line is spare parts...
Granlund Gaunce Gagner
Sound D & deserving of less minutes. |

I wouldn't base any sort of decisions until at least the mid-season rankings come out. Other than J. Hughes, there's really no one else touted to potentially go 1-2 or 3OA. - DariusKnight
Only using as a guide line. There shows to be a good amount of Cโs available. Some D & wing look good up in the top 10 as well. |

Using this early projection...

Its the best i found but that's not saying Button is bang on.
Looks to be good talent for the 2019 draft. Iโm partial towards C if highly touted as a legit #1. Only a stud D changes my mind. Now is Byram that stud? Heโs a LHD which doesnโt suit us currently. Is Cozens or Lavoie or Krebs at C a no brainer? Regardless we get some serious good talent however next season goes with only 1oa being the ultimate dream. - Nighthawk

It will adjust down no doubt. The W had an off draft year in 2018 but will bounce back. |

Pipe dream, he isn't even going to talk to JB about the potential of coming here. My guess is it's the Sharks if he leaves, but probably Lou convinces him to stay on the Island.
I think we probably roll with what we have and JB signs a couple cheap bottom 6 players to push the Gaunces of the world.

My take is JT holds off on signing anywhere til he sees who LL signs/trades as a goalie.
1 Q why have EP stuck with Sutter?
My only guess is D only pass to EP on breakouts so Sutter doesnโt have to figure out what a playmaker is ๐

Because Sutter is the defensive conscience on the line, allowing JV to use his speed/forecheck/puck retrieval skills and for EP to use his creativity and dangle and allows Sutter to set up shop to either clean up the garbage or act like Kesler did (without the added d!ckishness) as a slot shot center. |

I know, just being facetious, he's not even considering the Canucks and really why would he with the clown-show we have in charge. Eventually they'll be good due to the excellent draft positions they've had over the past five drafts, but he wants to win now.
San Jose is getting long in the tooth, their top players are all old'ish thus their window is closing quickly, not sure that makes the most sense for him. Tampa if they can shed some salary like Callaghan AND Tyler Johnson could do it if he comes in around 9 million per. Big stretch though.
He proabably signs with the Leafs, they've got a good YOUNG team and lots of cap space.
PS: any team with Sutter as a 2nd line center is inline for a first overall pick. |

That can only work once Sutter figures out how to put the puck on the tape on a pass. Him carrying the puck kills line rushes. If he dishes off fast then its ok but i wonโt hold my breath. |

Whats to say the 6 team personal interviews were only just that? JT nor his agent never spoke outright phone calls are not accepted. Now i donโt believe the Nucks have a hope but JB should make a courtesy call nonetheless. |
