You get any smoke and ash falling up there? We had a wind shift the other day when the barometer was dropping and there it was. Here we go I thought...
 - boonerbuck
Nope clear here and the air is good but the wind has been coming from the north the last couple weeks. |

I really hope he isn’t full of Sh!t and sticks to what he says. Unless it’s Tavares of course. - thundachunk
 Exactly what I thought. |

I would love that. But the reality is there's going to be a lot of kids on this team, including a few that probably shouldn't be in either of our opinions. Kids I see as already having a spot: JV, Gaudette, Pettersson, Goldy and Boeser. This is at a minimum IMO, more likely we ave 3-4 rookies in the lineup depending if OJ, Dahlen, Hughes and Lind - neem55
Im fine with this. You have to face adversity before you can be successful. Teach them how to win. Green can do that. |

I could see them cycling kids on 5-10 game spurts, between Utica and Canucks.
I also would not be surprised if Zack MacEwen makes the team as 12th-13th forward.
He has sòme of the traits that may be required, some speed, skill and sandpaper.
Exciting times ahead for us.

For sure. My worry is what happened with Hutton, JV, McCann. That they have a great camp but at that 9 game mark were not really being honest with what we've got. I hope the leash is a bit tighter and they are more unafraid to send the kids back down, at any point in the season. |

I believe kids like Gaudette, Dahlen and Goldobin should be on the team, they've been developing for long enough. Time to show your worth at the NHL level. But the coach has to be willing to teach at the NHL level. |

Dahlen the only thing is he hasn't played here. Goldy has earned it for sure, Gaudette less so but appears to be in regardless. |

I think most of us have the same concerns.
I thought Hutton had a pretty good 1st season, it was the 2nd and final season of his waiver eligibility that he should have been sent down when he struggled badly.IMO |

He would have been ok if he wasn't put in the top4 over his head for a season and a half. The second half of that first year was statistically awful, he got roasted. The first half of that year he thrived as a bottom pair guy. He got burned 80% of the time in that top4 role, as he doesn't have those skills yet and may never. But that really shot his confidence IMO, terrible management. |

Linden on the temptation of signing a big free agent: “It’s not tempting for me, not at all, We need to be very prudent, thoughtful, of anybody we add that they fit into our group and our long-term plan.” #Canucks |

Linden on free agency: “We’ve gotten to a place now where we’ve got a very good group of exciting young players, and that continues to build, It’s just a matter of being patient and sticking with it now. July 1 is not a day to build." #Canucks |

A couple of potential centres they can take a flyer on.

All of them would cost some assets goung the other way. Do we really want to be giving up picks?
Maybe if it was for some of our expendable assets, sure, but not for any of our 22 and under gang. |
