One of the youngest players in that draft iirc
point a game as a 20yo in the AHL is decent - senstroll
I'm hoping he works out for us but not holding my breath.

The only thing disappointing about Kappinen so far is that he didn't make the jump with the rest of the youths. He is still a solid prospect with expectations of an NHL career. However, he better make the jump next year...
Soshnikov has some gritty traits, but at 23 years old, he needs to produce a lot more than 6/6/12 in 60 games if he plans on sticking in the NHL. At this point I would say he is closer to moving down to a career in the AHL than he is to moving up to a top 9 forward position on the leafs. |

You guys see the clinic Raanta put on last night? Either Vegas or some team that gets him from Vegas is going to get a real solid #1 goalie. |

He'll still only be 21 if he doesn't. |

he seems to have some project-able numbers at a young age.
i kinda expect he gets his chance in the nhl next year if he has a good camp. |

Kapanen hasn't made the jump because he's had a rough go with injuries this season. No need to be disappointed yet. |

I also wonder if the Leafs' brass decided that they simply couldn't have more rookies in the lineup this year. |

This is the most likely scenario, but damn the rookies have been outplaying the vets by a wide margin. |

yeah, same guy that's outscoring Nylander in less games played
Also he blocked a slap shot right before that to create his breakaway so you know, that'll slow you down |

Nylander, Pastrnak, Fiala, Kempe and Vrana. |
