Keeping Yak might be the only good thing done this summer (other than our first round pick but they would have had troubles screwing that up - even though Tkachuck is likely the better player).

Yak has potential. Even those that have given up on him have seen it emerge. Yak needs a chance to develop his game. Yes playing with McDavid will help him but either way they need him to once again show that he is a top 6 winger. I wouldn't commit him to any line but be prepared to change things up. Oilers have RNH who is an underrated and solid top line center. Connor who most likely has stolen that job and if he hasn't it is not an insult to RNH that Coonor is better. He just is but that doesn't mean RNH isn't an amazing player.

Then the Oil have Leon. A guy who has shown he might be in the same league as the other two. His domination during the Calder Cup was an eye opener. The guy is an amazing two way center that has the ability to move the puck up ice. Either with amazing passing or gifted speed and agility. He then showed us this year that he could be a 100 point guy in his prime. Something I don't think anyone expected but for a while the guy seemed unable to stay off the score sheet.

The Oilers have 3 great centres and then... Eberle who can pull the trigger with any of them. Lucic will probably be decent. I would expect half the points Hall use to get for the same price tag. Really this leaves tons of ice time and three #1 skilled centres. Give him offensive starts and PP time. His talent will come out on its own with any of these three. Where the other wingers fall in is more of a question.

But don't worry. We have Larsson now in exchange for our highest point guy so we are .... Screwed. Chiarelli sucks.

Jesus (frank) dude.

1) Admittedly they are both prospects and anything could happen, but what gives you the impression Tkachuck is better Puljujarvi?

2) Yak sucks ass when combined with Nuge. This is well known. The only viable options are to pair him with McDavid (who will carry him) or Drai and hope they click (not holding my breath).

3) Leon had a hot run last year, but its (frank)ing beyond optimistic to think 100 points seasons from him. McDavid maybe. And McDavid is much better than Drai (as he should be).

4) Leon dominated during the Memorial Cup. Not Calder.

5) Lucic is a consistent 50-60 point winger. Hall was not a 100-120 point winger. Hall is damn good but his production will more than likely be replaced if McDavid and Eberle can play full seasons, and Lucic gells with McDavid. Which wouldn't surprise me as McDavid has done well with almost every player he has been paired with (Hall maybe being an exception).

6) Oilers haven't even played a (frank)ing game yet. This we are screwed bullpoop is merely you pouting because your favourite Oiler was moved. Feel free to cheer for Jersey if you can't handle it.

That was my bad. Memorial not Calder. I was thinking of Calder seasons for Nail which was a great year for him. Maybe the only time he was given the chance to develop.

Tkachuk is a more physical player. There is no way of telling for sure at this point which will be better but I don't have a ton of respect for the finish league. I think it ranks behind the CHL, AHL, Swedish Elite and KHL. Tkachuk had an amazing year and put played his line mates (I only read this from team news articles) and both Dvorak and Marner should walk onto their NHL clubs roster this fall. Pulj is good. Tkachuk just seems to have a never settle for second attitude.

Right now, saying any Oiler other than McDavid is 100 pt player is ridiculous. We would be lucky if Leon was a 60 pt guy. Still there were points during the season where he looked like a maybe. He showed great talent and if he could have kept at the pace he had a couple of those weeks he would have had an amazing year. In 5 years, if the Oil are where we think they could be, I wouldn't be surprised to see him be McDavid's Malken.

Lucic might be good. I like Hendo's article comparing him to Pouliot. I think that with McDavid he is s 60 pt guy. Without a 40 pt. His totals were okay when you loo at the teams and the ice time he has had the past few years. I think Hall on Boston or LA would have outplayed him in a big way. I think Hall is an 80 pt guy on the Oild and Lucic a 40.

RNH was my favorite Oiler. Hall was my sons. Going forward it will be hard to not cheer for Connor. He is just fun to watch.

I have been an Oiler fan through stupider GMs. This might be one of the top 10 worst trades in the history of the NHL but I am still an Oiler fan. I flew to Raleigh for game 7 and I will be in the stands when the Oil hoist the cup again in a few years (longer if Chiarelli keeps his job). I lasted through everyone telling me MacT and Lowe were awesome only to hear people change their minds when the club did. The Oil will part ways with Chia pet. I also think they are over due to finding a perfect fit.

You are terrible. Just stop. Puljujarvi is going to be a beast. Lucic is a beast. Hall and Hallfan can both suck it. Long live Larsson!

1) Calder seasons for Nail? Are you referring to his rookie NHL season when he was a possible for the Calder, or are you saying when he was competing for the Calder Cup (which he never did since has yet to play a game in the AHL)?

2) I won't get into which rookie is better because that really remains to be seen. But I do think Liiga is better than you give it credit for, and Puljujarvi's performance at the 2016 WJC was nothing short of impressive.

3) You said in your last post that you thought Leon might be a 100 point guy in his prime. Time will tell. I think 70 will be a high mark for him. And I don't think he will hit it with regularity. I see Eberle like production out of him and I'm totally fine with that.

4) So how is holding Lucic's ice time and team mates against him fair? He got those minutes and line mates the same way most good players do, by earning it. Lucic has had only one 40 point campaign since 2010/2011 (lockout excepted) and put up numbers in the mid 50 to low 60 point range since. His 40 point seasons are the exception not the rule.

5) I have no doubts that your an Oiler fan. I just think that your a unknowledgeable one. I follow the Oilers religiously but I am more of a emotional fan rather than a factual fan, and even I can pick apart the bullpoop sprinkled within your posts.

6) MacT had his good days and his bad days. As has Chiarelli. Condemn the moves all you want but calling Chiarelli's on ice product a failure before it has even played a game is short sighted. They may fail or they may succeed. I'm actually going to let them play before I pull doomsday proclamations out of my ass however.

Its actually a very similar procedure between the two. In order to bring HA back I'd need to substitute a case of Lucky for the rum, a dead alligator for the chicken, and a live 25 year old Brazilian virgin (good luck finding that) for the coke. Oh and I shall require Laughs right nut.

H.A.'s resurrection would require a case of Absinthe, a dead snake and a dead alligator, a mexican and a islamic porn star, plus a flesh light moulded after Leon's rectal cavity.

1) Tkachuck likely the best player? I guess it could happen, but I don't think that's a common opinion... Most likely Puljujarvi will be the better player... I like Tkachuck a lot, but his skating needs work.

2) I think Yak has been given a fair amount of opportunities already.

3) Hopefully Draisaitl can regain his form from October and November (when he was impressive) and not the remainder of the season (when he was not)...

4) Even though Lucic offers certain qualities/attributes that Hall never could, I think it would be surprising if Lucic only got half of the points that Hall did. Currently Lucic has a PPG average of .614 and Hall has a .861... But you never know.

5) Larsson is a great RD, he's young, he's on a great contract... Oh yeah, and since 2012, his defensive numbers put him as the best defensive player in the entire NHL... Sometimes you have to address team needs by trading a good player to get a good player. The team is better now than it was last season... So I'm not sure how Chia sucks.

You don't know where I can find a beautiful woman who is both a virgin and Flames fan do you? It might also work with a unicorn which will probably be easier to find than the virgin.

I didn't think he would outdo Ledger (I don't think anyone can) but I had high hopes he would be better than Nicholson. Probably won't bother to see it after reading the reviews (although Margo Robbie's outfit might sway me).

Jack Nicholson's version was awesome... But I did like Ledger's version more.

Even though I hate Will Smith in real life, he had a decent character. Margo Robbie had some annoying lines, and some good ones... She gave me several boners throughout the movie though, so she was probably my favorite character.
