It totally makes sense to do that but didn't Yak ask for a trade? Are they not going to accommodate him just because he's not worth much more than a 4th right now? How about Yak and Lander for Chris Kunitz? That helps both teams although I doubt Kuni would want to play in Siberia I mean Edmonton. Then Puljujarvi can play with Lucic and McDavid and Eberle can play with Draisaitl and Maroon or Pouliot and RNH can play with Kunitz and Kasian. If anything can revive Yak it's playing with Malkin

Might be good for Yak but it would be poop for the Oilers. If they can't get something that is somewhat worthwhile for him, I'd just as soon they let him play and flip him at the deadline.

Kunitz is from Saskatchewan so I'm pretty sure he could handle the winter here. But why would we want a 36 year old that's a ufa after the season? Especially when he would be playing behind Pouliot, Lucic, and Maroon

Why would we want 2 RW's on one line? We have the right mix of LW's, C's, and RW's. Let's just keep guys in their proper positions to maximize their potential instead of moving them somewhere they're not comfortable.
