Last nights game was on Miller.
I won't say I blame him because I was hoping for the loss. I am open about my feelings about being a draftist this year. I am willing to go through this year as an opportunity and not a failure.
I like the youth of this team and I think with a top pick who can step right in and play next year followed by Boeser the following year . Things are looking up.
The team will have twenty million dollars to fix holes. They have assets to make trades. And with the expansion draft in 2017 they have a get out of jail free card to move a bad contract ( maybe). - VANTEL
First goal was on Grenier. He came back to take Tanev's man (who Tanev had tied up with a stick check) and left Boedker open.
The second goal was a little soft on Miller's part but Hutton did not play Boedker particularly well.
The third goal was a mix of Linden Vey losing his guy, Tryamkin not being aggressive in covering, and Miller on letting another high shot in.
I would say each goal, for the most part, would be of the blame of the players over Miller (and I am not a huge Miller fan) |

Like I said analyze it as you want . Last nights game was on Miller
On your second goal it should actually read " dumb giveaway by Tanev catching an unexpected Hutton flat footed and beating Miller with a routine unobstructed shot that he should have had. |

I don't care what anyone says. 2 soft goals on routine shots . The game was on Miller. Analyze it as you want , but you remove those two easy goals it is 1-1 with 10 friggen kids in the lineup - VANTEL
Yup. |

Plus it doesn't help that Miller gives up on 50% of his shots, the guy has no fire in him. |

That is exactly my point. Tanev's giveaway and Hutton being flat-footed would be more to blame than Miller. |

It was. Two short side goals from crappy angles that Miller was caught cheating on.

I was impressed how good I felt this morning.
Listening to Millers comments it sounds like he agrees with you. He knows that game was on him. |

You are wrong. There are give always and mistakes all the time.
Two unobstructed routine shots found the back of the net. |

Also heard (dont know if this has been brought up here before) that Ronalds Kenins will likely go play hockey in Europe if he isnt offered a contract soon. Experiment failed I suppose |

It was definitely on him, but that is just the way it is around here. You can have a white piece of chalk and some here will try to tell you it is not truely white. |

I totally understand that your goalie has to be there to bail you out of mistakes, I just don't think Miller has to be the center of attention regarding the loss last night, and I am not a Miller fan. Either way, 1 small step towards a top 5 |

Wondering if they will offer him a contract he won't likely accept, just to retain his rights? I think they did something like that with Rodin... retain his rights but not cost a contract. |

I don't think he is worth that. I am super happy they did with Rodin though |

Why bother? Do you ever see Kenins fitting here?
Speaking of Rodin where does he fit in to the scheme of things |

I think we need to see how his game translates into the NHL and how he rebounds off his injury. If Boeser does indeed play 1 or 2 more years in NCAA, it might be nice to have Rodin as a call up when need be. |

I dont think Rodin will sign without an outclause like Tryamkin has. His resume in Europe will pay him better there than his NHL deal will, so if he cant crack the big club I expect him to leave.
Kenins doesnt have a spot as long as Doresett is around, they are similar players and as it was proven this year, you dont need two anchors on one line |

IMO Kenins should not have a spot regardless of who is on the team. He is not an NHL player. |
