"mySQL Error in statement"

I have had this problem several times, and it is very frustrating. it seems to stem from the use of commas, semicolons, and punctuation in general. I understand that I use punctuation marks a lot, but I do not understand how it creates an error. Consequently, I am forced to post comments which are incredibly poorly written. It makes myself, and the site look very unprofessional as members are writing comments at a fifth grade level. I brought up this issue around six months ago, but it has clearly not been fixed. No other sports website has this problem. Commenting is such a basic feature, and should operate properly at all times. I am not sure if there's site administrators who can look into these matters, but something has to be done. I cannot imagine ever paying 20 dollars for a "season ticket" if I can't even post a comment properly.

i wouldn't worry too much about things being poorly written. the site is built around things that are poorly written.

also, the error message has nothing to do with commas or semicolons. someone we know just buys the new iphone or the latest webcam with the money they lucked into rather than putting some of it into fixing their website.

michael o'connor,
don't listen to this guy.

he once offered me a job editing blogs on the site and then rescinded his offer claiming "typos are charming"

also, everything he says is a lie. E5, code red (or whatever that mess was - i can barely bring myself to read that crap)

This is ridiculous. Clearly this automated message junk is not going to result in any changes to the site. It is a technical error, and I have already messaged Eklund multiple times. I messaged him when this occurred the first time. Something must be done to repair this issue. Almost half of my comments are denied. I have to edit it over and over before the website accepts it.

Ya, well I expected a sub-par website with regards to articles and the authors writing them. From what I am told, the main authors are paid. However, all of the articles posted by regular fans are extremely poorly written, and are often just angry rants loaded with grammatical errors. It is unfortunate to see, as a few authors are talented but are not recognized appropriately.

Moderators do very little to improve the website, as this forum would confirm. The entire reason I joined this site was so I could have legitimate hockey discussions with other fans. I never imagined that something simple like posting comments would cause such frustration. Nobody should have to edit a comment 5-10 times, just so it can be submitted.

Hi TMLtheCat29,

If you didn’t read it on a HockeyBuzz blog, please link to legitimate news source. There's too much going on in the REAL hockey world without posting fake rumors and trades. If you have a REAL source, email Eklund.

Michael,

Please refrain from publicly criticizing the website. You're give you a platform to write your blogs and give you exposure for the low price of $0. You should be grateful toward Eklund for giving you such an opportunity and stage to showcase your talents. Consider this your first and final warning on this subject. You may always PM myself, S2TP, Eklund, or any other moderator on this site if you have issues but any further complaints will be met with harsh consequences.

Thank you.
