You disagree with your ASSUMPTION of his approach. You have no idea what the truth is here. - TTtime
Not my assumption, JJ's report (which may or may not be true).... |

I go to Hollywood for a week in March every year. First year we went my wife and I thought we would go to a Panther's game on a late Sunday afternoon. I naturally assumed the rink was sort of downtown Miami. When I found out where Sunrise was I was shocked and then understood the reason for attendance issues. - RickJ
I came to the Hawks game from Delray Beach, no problem |

3 cups. 7 seasons. You're gonna have to come back with a lot more than that. |

JJ, just out of curiosity, among all your sources across the sport, what position does the highest ranking source hold? |
|
|
|
every teams 4th line is a checking line. and so is the 3rd, for the most part. the guys on the 3rd line obviously have more ability to score than a 4th line, but hardly a scoring line, as evidenced by sharp's decline in numbers. - flyershockey
So in the playoffs, when Sharp and Teravainen were on the 3rd line, you think they were out there to play defense? Meanwhile the 4th line checked the triplets almost exclusively. |

How often do coaches gameplan to get their scorers away from a guy like McDonagh or Subban, or even Karlsson?
Guys like Keith, Weber, Doughty, Hedman, and Chara (to a lesser extent these days) are the ones who can impact games just based on matchups. Notice a theme? 3 of those guys won cups, and another was just in a very close final. - Sandus
Subban & Karlsson are not really defensive dmen, but they do use there speed and are matched up against other teams top line.
McDonough is always against top line and has shut-down ability, he's that good, just not a flashy player/name...... |

in the last 3 games he had 1 goal, 1 assist, 13 16 and 15 min respectively, and 4 shots on goal. his role (or impact) didnt really change that much. - flyershockey

its a 3 game sample. ppg doesnt really mean anything. look at the minutes. not anywhere close to top line minutes. |

I don't disagree with this, but I also don't see coaches shuffling their lines to avoid matching up against those guys. I do see it with the others. |

He went from 11 minutes per game and 14 shifts to 15 per game and 25 shifts. He got bumped up in the finals. You could have, you know, just watched the games and seen it. |

i watched every game of the conf final and final, thanks. im not arguing he moved up lines. the minutes still arent suggestive of top line minutes. its just showing he went from hardly playing to getting a little more time. |

Lived in Boca... easy drive, easy parking, easy out... it's not a bad arena, unfortunately for people living in South Florida, watching ice hockey inside isn't at the top of the list. Many more activities for them to do. |
