All is good.
I just finished a jazz cigarette.
I did call a picture of a steak "filth", meaning to be sarcastic. Regardless, I blame Vantel. - Marwood
Just heading to the garage for a tune up myself...after so many years of this how can I blame Vantel? |

Just because they trades a pick doesn't mean it wasn't theirs. Its still an asset. Whether u draft it or trade it |

Personally I think it's more telling just showing the picks where they were slotted. They may not have used the picks at the draft but they used them to secure assets. Regardless, they finished low enough to earn them. |

ahh yes, I recall some of the interviews. It's kind of ironic, given that he played with a few quasi-goons during his career who probably saved his bacon on more than once occasion. Gillies, Nystrom and Tonelli were also tough bast*rds to play against. And you had better keep your head up when Potvin was on the ice (this, on top of having to be aware of the semi-psychopath Billy "the lumber-king' Smith |

But if you (not specifically you) are going to slag them or any team for not having good prospects despite picking consistently in the top of the draft, it does matter where that pick ends up being.
Edm picked 6,15 and 21 in 2007 picking Gagner, Alex Plante and Riley Nash. Not a very good result looking back on it and even though only the 6th was theirs originally it is still an indication of what opportunities they have had in the first round and what they accomplished with those opportunities.

I believe the discussion started with crediting a GMs whose team has finished near the basement for 8 yrs for being so great because his team is finally a playoff team |

I wonder how his career would have gone had he not had the protection he got from some of the players that rode shotgun with him, allowing him that extra room to succeed |

Its no different then Mario. Complained his whole career every time somebody came near him, yet talks about ULF Samuelsson like he's his brother. |

I think that's one of those things that turned me off of Mario. The guy was 8 feet tall and 304 pounds and yet he was constantly whining about the league and how it was 'mickey mouse' and didn't cater to the stars. I know the Wayner also whined here and there but I don't think he was ever as bad as Lemieux. Of course Wayner also had Semenko (or McSorely) riding shotgun for most of his career. But the ultimate hypocrisy was Mario's new found love for 'Ulfie' (biggest cheap shot artist of all time - ok, or at least top ten) as you noted. If that's not being a hypocritical bastid I don't know what is. |

Winnipeg lost so the Kings are going to be coming hard tonight (as always). Sharks fans are definitely hoping the Canucks win tonight! |
