Marwood saying he is not into meat has made me go on a red meat eating spree. Beef and broccolis tonight tomorrow meatball subs on fresh made hoagies. Then more meat on Saturday.

When the hell did I say that?????
Enjoyed homemade Elk burgers last night and have a rib eye every Saturday night and I use to peddle high end meat at Gotham for years.
Love red meat!!

Hahah 7 years at 31 years old.

4 years too long in length.

Garth Snow back to his usual tricks.

It ammuses me when fans and pundits give him credit. "Look at the team he's assembled". Well no shlt they have some prospects. They've been drafting an average of top 5 for close to a decade and been in complete sell mode for most of those yrs. If a monkey just picked BPA every time, their team would be stacked

Exactly. How could you eff that up... where there's a will. .

Wasn't it one of the guys on the Sportsnet panel that took the gm job there before Snow but left right away when he saw it wasn't really a gm job as Wang was totally hands on.

All is good.
I just finished a jazz cigarette.
I did call a picture of a steak "filth", meaning to be sarcastic. Regardless, I blame Vantel.

I like pickles on my burgers. Or blue cheese. But not sure if I'd want to spoil a nice elk pattie if it is tasty.

I think he mistook you when you spoke of being a dedicated herbivore.

As a guy who put a solid 25 years in I understood you completely.

It's absolutely stunning how many top five picks the Islanders have had since they came into the league in 1972!!! 18 times they've pick top five out of 42 years...that's almost half of all their first round picks.

1972 - 1st overall
1973 - 1st overall
1974 - 4th overall
1983 - 3rd overall (traded for pick)
1989 - 2nd overall
1991 - 4th overall
1992 - 5th overall
1995 - 2nd overall
1996 - 3rd overall
1997 - 4th overall
1999 - 5th overall
2000 - 1st overall
2008 - 5th overall (traded down to 9th)
2009 - 1st overall
2010 - 5th overall
2011 - 5th overall
2012 - 4th overall
2014 - 4th overall

EDIT: by comparison, the Oilers have only picked top 5, five times in their history - 1994, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2014.

EDIT EDIT: Canucks 13

Or the leafs. Picked an average of about 6 or 7 for a decade and have like the 23rd in prospects.

He made some shrewd moves picking up Leddy and Boychuck. His team is also trending upwards unlike Toronto and Edmonton. He does deserve a little credit.

leafs average 16.56 over the last decade. Oilers 9.5, canucks 20.27, isles 11.33.

not trying to nit pick but was curious what the actual numbers were.

That is avg of where 1st round picks were taken in past 10 years including additional picks acquired.

I didn't like how Bossy viewed the game in many ways but man he was one of the most natural goal scorers ever. #22boss

Like in the first round? Toronto has 2 picks below 13 in the past decade. Not sure where your numbers are from.
Oilers have had 2 as well. I think your numbers are wrong
