Thats the price of UFA Cs. Those guys are in the late 20s. ROR is 23 year old. You sign him to a 7 year deal and hes 30 years old. You are getting a guy going into his prime years.

you pick arguably the 4 deepest teams at C in the league and that counts fore the other half?

And Chicago he'd be 2C. LA he'd be 1st line LW, or they'd move him to 2C and move Carter back to wing.

why do you assume having RoR at 1C for a few years prevents Leafs from Drafting a C that eventually becomes 1C and RoR moves to 2C? which would be his ideal position
